The handle (Scales) are made of aluminum, not stainless steel.

I’ve been carrying one daily for at least a year and use it quite a bit. Still going strong. I have the OD green, the color is wearing off, but otherwise no issues. Can’t beat it for the price.

I have never had an auto due to my fears of them going off in my pocket (i have uneven legs and a poor sense of balance so i am more prone to falling over than most people) but since this has that saftey lock i might pick one of these up

This is one of very few auto knives that can be carried tip-down, and this is really the only one that appeals to me. A silver/silver one would be a little less likely to scare the sheep, but oh well. I carry in my strong-side back pocket, and tip-up doesn't work for me. Switchblade law removed from the books in Pennsylvania back in January, I think. Thanks for sharing.

Knife comes with a nice, but pointless, zippered nylon case. Does NOT come with T6 wrench or screwdriver for the pocket clip.

IDK, I've never had an auto knife, just spring assist. Seems like if you are carrying it in the pocket you'd have to have the safety on and to deploy it you'd have to push the safety off then hit the button vs with spring assist just swipe the one lever to open.

I will. I don't see it being very hard I watched a couple videos on disassembly on here. Worst case I loose the spring and have a cool button lock manual 😄

It seems odd that you say it is D2 steel but it seems to say Aus-8 on the blade...also the store page says it is aluminum handle
@EDCfanatics

The website I got it from: Blade HQ has it listed as D2… I’m pretty positive it is. I think they made several models with multiple options. I know there is also some differences if you do the plus strike, which blade type you get, etc.

What size spring does that use? I bought one and the action is no where close to yours or my Kalashnikov, its far slower, even playing with the pivot screw. I was thinking about finding a stronger spring on KnifeKits

Question, do you think it’s worth getting the a Strike or a Kalashnikov? Is there really a difference besides the handle shape?
@EDCfanatics
Жыл бұрын
The handle shape is definitely different! Since it has all 4 finger grooves. But they are extremely similar. In material, color, price, etc. I like the strikes better but that is just me! You may like the kalashnikov better.

@@EDCfanatics thanks! They recently came out with a new Kalashnikov with a different handle, D2 steal , but they are charging 91-93 bucks for it some even 100 but I don’t get why. Seems overpriced.
@jesse4530

The kalashnikov doesn't have a blade lock and can only be carried tip up. The tip up I can deal with but I prefer tip down. Not having a lock on an automatic is an automatic No for me. This is a much better choice.

I have several kalashnikovs. I have been very pleased with them. One of my favorite autos is the launch 15. But then you are faced with the issue of do you want one of those or three of these.

In another video, a guy said that when the blade is out and the blocking mechanism is on, when you press the open/close blade button, the blade will move a little, just a little. Have you noticed the same thing with your knife? thank you

@@EDCfanatics but I guess that if you don't press by accident the open/close button, the blade will be still, will not have any play, right?
