UPDATE: After a few weeks on the market with ZERO inquiries, I ended up lowering my price to $350 and they sold right away. I was elated to send them along to their new home this weekend. Thanks for watching!

That’s interesting. Before I knew what you would price them at, I guessed $350. I thought the research pieces you found online were not so comparable - the on,one examples looked more sophisticated and complex in construction and especially in inlay. I believe it’s the quality of the bone inlay that creates the price, whether it’s machine cut shapes in imitation bone versus painstaking hand carved unique designs. Also, you don’t know when you research if those pieces will sell quickly or not at all. Not doing the shipping thing definitely limits what you can charge, if you can ship to international cities then you can easily reach wealthier people in metropolitan centres, the ones who pay more. I think you did, as always, a superb job, you flipped them quickly, someone somewhere got a treasure, you made a profit, you love what you do and you educated and entertained thousands in the process, so everyone wins!

Based on the market price, i think i would initially list them for 600 then bring them down to 450 in a couple of weeks if not sold. But 600 might be a bit much even for the right buyer. So 450 is a steal! I am with you Katie!!!

God job pricing. I elieve they will sell fast at the bargain price. The hourly rate of $40. per hour is very correct for the amount of work restoring furniture takes. I believe restoring furniture is much more difficult than stining new things. I often get really beat up trying to restore pieces. Keep up the good work and don't come down on the price. The work it too hard to bargain.

Really good job!!! I m from MOROCCO, we have artisans who make these brand new for their clients, which they can choose the design/color/shape/dimensions, for around 80$ for each table, and to protect them from any potential damage, they make an indentation on the top of the table to place a piece of glass!!! Bless you!!

Hi Katy. I loved this week’s video! I am going to meet you one day, I promise. The next time I make it back to Canada, I am looking you up! I don’t even pretend to know what the upcycled furniture markets are like in your area and I forget how close Bradford is to the GTA or downtown TO, but your work is extremely “high-end” in looks, coolness, workmanship, originality and you should be rapidly making a name for yourself which is going to boost demand for your creations, if it already hasn’t started. So these tables. They are def on the boho side and are perfect in eclectic homes. You priced them a little conservatively, I think. I ask myself what I would pay for the set and I would be happy to pay CA$ 750 (US$ 500). I wouldn’t be surprised if the end buyer is from a bit further out and makes the drive to you to snap up such a great deal. If I weren’t in Florida I would have taken them in a heartbeat. I am so amazed at your talent and want you to become a household name! 2021 is going to be your year!

I think they were priced low, but that's for my market in BC. I also consider more costs including my time for videos, ad building, %of business costs etc, time spent delivering and dealing with buyers etc, taxes, space rental, and the list goes on. All that stuff really ads up, I find. But even with all of that you made a delicious profit! ps....I'm recovering from lots of hand surgeries and can't build/restore/repurpose anymore so I adore your videos and get to live vicariously through you 👍

I would appreciate it so much if you could consider setting up a store on etsy or Chairish or someplace that will ship. I am so glad you walked through this part. Pricing is tricky and I appreciate how you talked through why you went with 450. I think you might get more, but you also don’t want these tables to sit for a few weeks, bringing that price down every few days. It looks better to price it for a quick sale, as long as you are still within your profit margin, so to speak. Being that the tables do collapse, you could consider shipping for this flip. Great job as always, Katie!

Really appreciate you sharing both your restoring and pricing processes. These seem to be a bit more common to find here in Europe so from this perspective the asking price might seem a bit high, however after seeing your local and national markets I’d probably have landed a big higher than you, around 550/600$ for the pair. Good job - unsurprisingly and as always! Happy 2021, cheers from Paris! 🤍
