Your shirt is absolutely adorable! I just went grocery shopping today at one store, they had turkeys on sale 99 cents a pound I picked up 2! Tomorrow is Walmart and I’m not excited I hate the prices of groceries!

I agree, it is so sad the cost of groceries and wal mart isn't the best as far as prices go but sometimes that is the best store that some have available to them locally. Like us we have IGA, and then if we go to the next town over there is a Walmart and if I go all the way across town I could go to Food Lion. That was a great deal on the turkeys.

Ramble on Amber . Love seeing your videos and seeing you interacting with your family . Yummy apple fritters . I saw the other day that if you shred up your ice burg lettuce and put it in a glass jar it stays fresh. I know I put strawberries in a canning jar in the fridge they last longer . I know the drama of cats getting out . My granddaughters had a huge meltdown because she thought one of her cats got out . Apparently it knocked the screen partially out and got scared and ran away from the window inside . Well she was hysterical everyone was looking outside and all the time it was still in the house . When I was a little kid I would go out in snow storms looking for my cat. Looking forward to see what you cook tonight.

Thank you, I love that my family is getting more and more comfortable with being on the camera or even in the background. They are something else and we do a lot of laughing in this house. That is a great idea, I am going to have to try that. I too have done the strawberries in the mason jars and it works wonderfully to help keep them longer. I am so happy that she found her cat though, I love her I can not stand to hear her cry and be upset. She said that he is grounded for escaping. lol

I've given up on replacing screens because of them. Ours were mostly feral but are big babies now. However, they demand to go out during the day but I need them in at night. The little girl has always minded until lately and refused to come on a few nights ago. I got tired of begging and pleading so opened the windows so she could hear the piano and it worked immediately. She loves walking on the keys, LOL. It was my grandmother's piano from Depression days. It is still pretty but has seen better days so if the cat comes in to play it, that's what matters.

I’ve got a good Greek recipe for you with the lentils…boil equal parts lentils with white or brown rice ….when it’s tender strain it put in a dish…fry up some white or yellow onions in vegetable oil until they are dark and place on top of the lentils and rice …makes a nice side dish…we like it with Greek salad and grilled chicken…and since you always get lentils rice and onions from the food pantry it’s a free recipe

I have a story for you... . When I still worked , it was 8pm - 8am shifts . We lived in a rather rural area , and I didn't have a car , so I'd walk about 45 minutes to the closest bus stop , to bus into the nearest city's hospitals . No biggie , but it all took time . Between walking and bussing , it took me about 150 minutes to get to my work shift . So I'd leave home about 5:30 pm . My children got off the school bus about 4pm , so it was always a rush to talk to them , feed them , help them with homework , etc . . By this time it was usually getting easier , because they were old enough to rewarm up food and do some chores . The children were about 13 and 15 years old when this " event " took place . My 15 y/o daughter had pet rats , and as a school project decided to breed them . Different rats , different colors , throughout a few months . So there was more than 1 pregnant rant or / and litters of ratlings on the go . So.... . The children come home from school . I usually spent extra time with my 13 y/o son , because he has autism and needed things a certain way for him to do his homework ( and just to see how he was doing overall ) . My daughter was tending to her pet rats , and decided that the first litter of ratlings were old enough to be put with some of her adult female rats . When she did so , 1 of the adult female rats started to attack the ratlings . My daughter is freaking out . Not just crying , but loudly howling and sobbing . We got the ratling killing rat out of the cage , but not being she had killed 2 of the ratlings . We got the rest of the ratlings back into their cage , and we cleaned up the shredded 2 ratlings . But I couldn't get the children to settle down . And I couldn't leave her in that state . So I phoned work and told the lady who booked our shifts that I couldn't make it to work that night . My 15 y/o is still howling and crying , and the lady can hear her through the phone . She asks me what is going on . First I answered " that's my daughter . 2 of her pets just died and I can't leave her when she's like this " . The lady asked more n more questions , and eventually I ended up telling her the full story . So , next time 1 of your children does something rather weird , keep in mind that at least you never had to take a shift off because a couple of rats died .... .

I lived in on apartment in the city. I had to take a cab home because my teenage daughter called my hysterical, repair person had come and she left the door open because even though we knew him she wasn’t going to lock herself in with a man not family. ( family rule). Well when he left she look in the room and couldn’t find the cat. We searched the entire building laundry room and storage rooms. Finally tearfully admitting defeat. We went home. The cat was sitting inside by the door waiting for us😅.

Oh wow, what a story. Yes I haven't had to take off work due to dead rats lol I bet that was a very traumatizing moment though. I couldn't imagine seeing one of my pets kill off two more of my pets but babies at that. I also feel for you having to make that call into work and explain that as to why you couldn't make it into work. But that's the heart of a mother. We will always love and take care of our children even if it is silly or something we don't understand or in your case 2 dead rats. LOL thank you for that story I have just laughed so much reading it.

Haven't needed to attend a food pantry for several years now, but when I did, I was given a 10 lb bag of chicken breasts that was all frozen together. It wasn't seasoned, but since I knew it had likely been at least partially thawed and refrozen, to minimize risk I ended up thawing and boiling all of it. Then used the pulled meat in various other dishes after freezing the excess cooked meat. I would probably do the same think with your bag regardless of seasoning. You said you didn't really care for celery but you could turn it into a veggie stir fry with the bell pepper and onion for an Asian inspired meal. Maybe save back a few pieces of that chicken and debone, then cut into chunks to stir fry with the veggies. Thanks for sharing your hauls and food tips, Amber. Best of luck to your channel's growth and future endeavors.
