The man responisble for some of the greatest basslines ever committed to tape. What always amuses me is that Steve Cropper is the complete opposite in this clip. Looks smooth and stylish.

The audience is grooving it, slaving to the rhythm. These guys are good. I had this 45. Danced to it on the radio too. No auto-tunes here, real music.

Super duper playing, in the beat and in tune with each other. It flows so naturally. Smooth. Thanks for the video it brings back memories.

It's no wonder that George Lucas chose "Green Onions" as the musical lead up to the Big "Final Shootout" Scene on Paradise Road in 1973's Epic coming of age movie, "American Graffiti." Booker T's sound had the "emotional weight" to heighten the mood for the extra cool "Exclamation Point" in a movie packed with fantastic music from the late 50's to early 60's. So much in fact that when the sound track came out for sale to the general public it filled two full LP's. A true Icon from the R&B, Rock and Roll and Contemporary Era!

Sadly, both my Precisions have Rotos on them, so I have to play this on my Warmoth Jazz (Black Korina body, Rosewood neck, ebony fretboard, Lindy's, LaBella flats)
