Dang, Bob, thanks for another great work. I luv your color grading and editing. Lots of different angles, ground and air. Nice! Also, as a private pilot and a drone pilot, it's GREAT that you mentioned the MOA (Owens Valley Complex R2508), and the potential for a low flying interactions. I will add (as I recall from my Geo101 course on Ca geology) that these Tufa mounds at the Trona Pinnacles were formed entirely underwater, and only became exposed once the lake drained/evaporated. It is a much larger example of that seen at Mono Lake (hundreds of miles north). Keep up the (off the beaten track) exploration and videos.

Thanks much for the comment - right on point about the MOA - we always spend a lot of time researching the airspace of the areas we plan to fly - you can never be too safe! And that is a great fact about the Tufa as well - thanks for sharing! Hope to see you out on the road someday :)

Very nice. I see you are located in the San Diego area. We retired from the City of Temecula, closed our horse ranch and animal rescue and went fulltime in 2016. I look forward to watching your videos. All the best Marianne & Mike and furbabies

@@bobanddangsjourney thanks for posting videos of the area - spent many years going all over the mojove while growing up, love the desert there. the mojave is loaded with ancient petroglyphs you will find carved in the rocks of the hills surrounding the ole lake beds. we always brought enduro motorcycles that made getting to some of the locations easier where no roads exist. truck with camper and a trailer filled with gas cans, water cans and enduro's - so much fun! who says there is nothing in the desert - Ha! lol there is also Lava fields with tubes you can walk in just north of the China Lake area. Loads of ole ghost towns and mines too. we used old topo maps of the area. thanks again for the excellent videos - quality and commentary is great. ps: I dropped a link above of someone who has been out there and has tips on how to locate these areas too. Good Luck and Hope to see video's soon.
