Thank you so much for finally developing a laser measure device with the green beam. I have suggested to Lecia to do this but it has fallen on deaf ears. A green beam is ideal for me measuring homes outdoors, especially since I am color blind and can barely see the red beam.

Do you know if either of these Lazers have the ability to compensate the distance measurement based on any slight offset of the angle when the measurement is taken. I.e. lets say you accidentally take a measurement with the device on a 0.7 degrees off level, and it compensates for this with the measurement?

Glad we were able to help! Yes, the Bosch BLAZE series is able to remember up to thirty of your previous measurements, and you're able to change the style of measuring by holding down the power button while the device is turned on (from imperial to metric). Thanks for reaching out, let us know if we can help further at all!

That's mostly to make sure you're flush with the object you're trying to measure; if you set the level at the end of a table, you'd just have to make sure your hand is there to support it while it takes its measurements!

I want to use such a device with a plastic corner-cube reflector plate, which reflects THOUSANDS as much back in the direction of the emitter than a white paper-like surface. (See Lambertian reflector.) I want to measure 500, 1000, 2000 meters, with a resolution of 1 millineter . Problem is, I don't think the device will 'wair for' such a delayed reflection, even when it arrives late. And, of course, the display doesn't have sufficient digits to display this.

When you measured from the counter to the wall is it from the tip of the tool or from the actual counter?
@OhioPowerTool
Жыл бұрын
You can actually change that in the tool, from the base or top of the laser measure, so your choice. The default is typically from the base so you put base on one wall and hit laser on another you have the exact wall to wall measurement.

The laser I have now displays 4 measurements as a list (current measurements and 3 previous ones). This helps me to find the shortest one without remembering my previous measurements. Does this laser has an option similar to this? If yes, how many measurements will it display? Thanks

I always use my GLM165-27C to find measurements for inside-mounted blinds. In the device menu highlight the Continuous Measure mode and press the Function button, then select min/max mode. Now just measure the width at the top, middle, and bottom of the window and you will have the minimum distance you'll need for your blinds. Tip: If you aren't sure how to use a function? Once a mode is highlighted you can press the gear button and it will display a short tutorial on how to use it.

However, many tools from Europe and other countries don’t always qualify for US safety and usage regulations like OSHA, so you should definitely make sure your tool meets these standards before buying a foreign alternative.
