I have the same problem. I tried holding down the button for 30 seconds to reset them. That didn’t help. Then I plugged them into the computer and done a software-firmware update. That didn’t help. I got online with customer support. They told me wireless charging of the case was part of my issue and to plug them into the wall for 30-60 minutes. That didn’t help. The next support person said my warranty was up and gave me the same upgrade option everyone gets. “$50 trade in” I got pissy and he added 10%. I told him an extra $20 wasn’t going to make a difference so he offered $30 instead of 10%. Said the problem was due to poor maintenance. I walk with them when the weather is nice. I keep them in the house, and never let the case go dead. They are barely 2 years old. I told the guy I didn’t want a new pair I wanted to be told how to fix them and he danced around the issue and will not help.

After updating the earbud case via the Bose web browser updater and still having this issue, I was told by customer support that this issue was probably caused by the charging case not being able to be linked with the update. If that’s the problem, then why wouldn’t Bose release an update that will work?!?

Yeah same problem here. Less than 2 years old and only used a handful of times. Bose just say they will 'Service' them for £189. Like what? That is more than the headphone were new. Such an appalling company and product.

My dad has the same ones but black it has the same issue it wont stop flashing I tried resetting it and such and nothing works. They are junk he said it was working fine before but still no. I am going for the samsung buds 2 instead so im sure those would be better.

Same happened to me. 2yrs old. Tried cleaning connectors, software update to latest, charging the case etc. Nothing helps to solve this. When I check troubleshooting FAQ in their website it said red/white means internal error. So Bose should recall these faulty ones and reimburse or upgrade for free. Otherwise complete produced faulty batches might have recalled.

I think this kind of problems happen only with Bose earbuds. Very expensive product but the item is not durable. The problem - left earbud flashing blue/red light. I am very happy with Huawei freebuds which last for more than 3 years without any issues unlike Bose ear buds. My three Bose earbuds giving one problem after another. Whereas my Huawei freebuds goes completely problem free even after 3 years of purchase.

Use the USC that came with the Bose product I was having the same problem was using another usb port (not Bose) then switch it to Bose’s usb started charging again!!!

think what the issue is that the battery has nbeen drained on them thus the li ion battey has been drained past its voltage that the internal circuitry will read thus going into a safe mode. Alot of bose products do this!

Perhaps the battery of either, or all earbuds, has been completely discharged, making it impossible to charge. Lithium-ion batteries become unusable when they are completely discharged. There is no choice but to replace the battery.

Bose is not the same company it used to be. The QC is a crap product, buy the AirPods. Mine went "red/white" Blinky after a year. I contacted bose and they had me do all sorts of things that didn't work and wasted a bunch of time, then told me they would replace them for 200.00. I told them no, I'll just buy Apple's. They seem to work reliably. Bose needs to get sold back to whomever made them great. Clearly the Australians can't do it.

Mine are also less than 2 years old. One bud white. One Red. Will not reset. Articles say it’s a general fault. Won’t pair. Said they would send me a new pair for $195 (US dollars). So buy another pair for a few dollars off. I don’t think so! Bose lost a customer.

I have the same problem, such a rubbish product, I spent almost 300 euros and used couple of times which wasn’t the greatest experience either, feeling quite sick with this noise cancellation and I get headache, moreover they’re not that compatible with apple devices, a pair of airpods has served me great for half of the price, bose: never again 👎

After doing a thorough investigation I came to realize that Bose fucked me up for the first time, same blinking problem and the only solution they offer is to buy another pair of buds. So they fuck up the firmware on purpose to make you buy the new ones, not buying Bose ever again
