Thank you for this! I panicked when the left earbud stopped working after only having had these a month. I've come to rely on them heavily to block the noise from inconsiderate neighbors - they're the only comfortable thing that has yet proven to work - and I was going to be SO SAD if I had to return them. This did the trick and was much more straightforward than a lot of what I saw on Bose' customer forum.

This exact fix is on the Bose troubleshooting app. And it didn’t work for me. The left earbud constantly starts to scream static and then stops working every time. I had to return them and get the Sony’s. Haven’t had a single problem w the Sony’s, but the noise canceling is nowhere near as good.

I know I’m so disappointed. The Bose QC were my first ever experience with noise canceling, suggested to me as I moved into a very loud apartment and I have a very important year with a new job. The moment I put them in I fell in love. The fit, the unbelievable noise canceling, the comfort. And then within an hour and every single day for a week the screaming static and failure of the left bud. These Sony’s are decent, but nowhere near the quality, fit, comfort and ANC of the Bose. I wouldn’t straight exchange for another pair because I’ve read too many people with the same issue and for $300 it made me mad. I might try one more time though…

The problem with these earbuds suddenly not producing sound, despite the noise cancellation and system noises still working, is still happening a year later! But thank you for this, reconnecting fixed the bug. I hope Bose gets this glitch out of later versions.

I had an issue with my left earbud not connecting. Tried all the troubleshooting procedures and had no success. Bose then recommended me sending them back, I did and they sent me a brand new pair within ten days, no questions asked. Great service.

I had the same problem, also with my left earbud. It took me two tries but eventually it worked! Thank you! I was so worried too, having bought the earphones not even a month ago. Funny thing is, the starting sound or the voice saying the battery percentage worked fine on the left earbud, just music or videos were mute so I guess it really was down to the Bluetooth connection and thankfully not to a broken earbud :)

@@seaangel4444 Hi Cher, I've had a similar issue with my ASUS laptop which I resolved by rebooting my laptop. I assume you are pressing the charging case button as well to disconnect them from your smart phone. If rebooting doesn't work check if your laptop has the latest windows update and drivers which could fix the issue too.

Thanks very much for this! My left earbud was stuck on a low volume and would not increase/decrease with the right earbuds. BOSE support told me to try repairing the earbuds by pressing Bluetooth button for 10 seconds to clear pair list and reconnect. This did not work. Your procedure worked perfectly. By connecting the power cable and pressing Bluetooth button for 30 seconds, this performs a full factory reset instead of just clearing pairing list. Thanks for your video. My Bose QC earbuds are now working perfectly and both increase/decrease volume as they should. This video should fix a lot of issues. Thanks for sharing

For me the right earbud just didn't work for whatever reason, I tried this solution like 5 times however, it didn't work. I went on their website support with a lot of FAQs and when it recommended to turn off "In-Ear Detection" I tried it and now the right earbud works just fine. Hope this comment can help anyone who found the repairing to be unsuccessful!

Thank you so much! My left earbbud had stopped responding to volume changes. And the app troubleshooting only suggested up to the 5 second step, your instructing adding the 30 seconds holding down Bluetooth, which I think is what ultimately fixed the issue for mine. Thank you so very much!

YES! thanks Tom. Just got new Sport Earbuds, and this happened on day 3. all other support threads just say hold the bluetooth button for 10sec to wipe the bluetooth list - but holding it for 30sec ‘reboots’ the earbuds.

Wow. I'm shocked that the instructions in the video worked. I would give 2 thumbs if I could. Instructions were very simple and easy to follow. Update: If you tried all the mentioned methods and still didn’t work. Try this out it really works for me: Take both earbuds out from the case and keep them out till it’s dying from battery charging while you keep the case open as well for about half a day then try to plug them in in the case. Please let me know if this worked for you as well

My right earbud isnt working anymore. I’ve done this procedure hundreds of times but no success. If I keep them both on my ears, they connect but play no sound. If I keep let bud on my ear and right one on charging box, then the left bud works. If I keep left bud on charging box and right one on my ear, nothing happen. Any clue or suggestion? I am feeling very frustrated about it.

"I have found a workaround for this issue. That is turn off In-Ear Detection. To do this, using Bose app, connect it to your earbuds and turn it off in the settings. Bose apps > Your earbuds > Setting (top right corner) > Preferences > In-Ear Detection." Got this from reddit, works for me

I picked up my 1st set of QCs from Best Buy about a year ago. Got home with them and the left bud would not power on. ( The light would not come on) Took them back, exchanged them for another brand new pair, got home and the left bud on them was not powering on!! Took them back, made sure I opened the 3rd pair in the store, and finally they worked. Fast forward to present day. My charging box fell and broke the tab which holds it closed. My wife got ahold of Bose support and said they would do a one time exchange for a new pair. Sent my pair in broken box to Bose, they sent me a brand new set of QC buds and, you guessed it, the left bud on it won't work!! I mean, after the box fully charges, the light on the left one will not light up, Bose app only shows the right bud. These buds are great when they work, but this is ridiculous!

Thank you for this! I took my buds out of their case this morning and they were acting crazy. The start up chime would echo a few times and the volume was much quieter than it should be. I even tried using the Bose app, but it didn't help. If I changed "modes", it would suddenly be louder in one ear versus the other. Just crazy stuff. Thank you so much!

Had a similar issue but my right earbud was not charging. When placed in the case I would only get a quick flicker of light. The left earbud would charge. Tried everything and nothing worked. Finally trying to find out if it was the case or earbud, I decided to use a AA battery and 2 small wires to see if the charging light would come on. Holding the wires on either end of the battery and touching to the connection on the earbud the light came on. I held it there for about a minute and dropped it back in the case and it started charging. The only thing I could think of was the battery had got to low for the case to charge (had set for about a month) and need a little help with a bump from an alternative battery source.

Had my earbuds 3 months. This morning I have just encountered a problem with no sound in left earbud and there is no blue light flashing on the left bud. The blue light flashes on the right bud. When I put both buds in my ears there is sound coming from the right but not the left even though the volume control still works to increase or decrease sound on the right bud, im lost and really annoyed. My left earbud still makes sound but it's quieter and the noise cancelling doesn't work for it anymore. I tried to clean it recently and I think water may have messed it up somehow. Should I just wait for it to dry out ? Or am I screwed ?

I had the same problem, also with my left earbud. The starting sound not working, but voice saying ''battery is full'' worked fine on the left earbud, only music were mute, but but your way to fix the sound of the left earbud did not help me( what else can be done? Help please!!

Hello, thank you for this video not only did my headphones have this similar problem but I also notice when I which to a different device the sound was really weird to the point where if I had it to the lowest sound I would hear alot of the sounds from the left ear and when I had it to the highest setting more of the sound came from the right and when i had the sound just right it was balanced. At first I thought I messed up my ears but after resetting the headphones its back to normal. Thank you for making this video it really helped...

I keep trying and I can't get my Bose Sport earbuds paired. I lost the original case and bought a used one. It seems to work fine except it will not go into pairing mode (no slow blue flashing lights - I can get slow White, fast blue or slow red flashing lights. Are these things locked to their original charging case? If so I wasted over $100 on a used charging case on eBay.

Thank you a lot! I've had these 350 dollars earbuds (price in Denmark) for 4 days and they started this with the left earbud. Works perfectly now again. Thanks.

I have a problem. only the left side is heard while the right is in the open case. Closing the case or removing the right earbud from the case then cuts out audio from the left. The right one does not ring even when removed from the case to indicate charging, unlike the left one. Can you help me?

alguien tiene una solucion cuando un solo auricular deja de funcionar, compre uno lo use 5 horas se desconecto, pense que me habia quedado sin baterias y cuando los puse a cargar solo uno carga el otro esta muerto con la luz azul tenue, este es el tercer juejo que compro y el que menos me duro, los 3 el mismo problema, gracias

Hi from Texas and thank you for this video. I was cleaning my earbuds (I have this exact bose ones in your video), I removed the silicone pads, and I just noticed, the left earbud has like whole where the speaker is, and the right one doesn't, it has like a cover where the little speaker goes. Are they supposed to look like that? Thank you!

For my case, not even a year, just bought for a few months. My Bose QC Earbuds although normal usage, just recently already charge full for the case but only the right earbuds are not working and charging. How to solve that?

Tried this because because one earbud flashes red no matter how long it charges. When I tried they wouldn't even enter pairing mode. The lights on both would just turn completely off sound 20 seconds. Any advice?
