FYI: if you keep the rythm switch down, the looper goes to sync and unsync mode. that makes sure that the recording is in sync with the drums and if you change the speed, so does the loop. Try it! :)

I'm back on this thread again. LOL I got one of these yesterday. After watching a few tutorials (since I find the manual to be lacking), I am around 75% where I need to be with this thing. I just need to get the external footswitch going and I will be good. I got my answer to the tempo question too and I am absolutely over the moon with this aspect. The speed! THE SPEED! Oh...my...GOD! Total Mick Harris Napalm Death blast beats if I want it. That alone is a keeper. The slooowwww stuff is fantastic too. I also came across a super cool funky beat for the more mellow stuff and all of this was just scratching the surface. I am so glad that I got this.

Greeting again from Iowa. It has been a while since I commented, but that is not to say that I have not been watching. Today I just want to say that this opening intro is going to go down in time as your Opus. Your "Eruption" if you like. Hi Dave, I have the RC10R too. It is even better if you get a dual foot switch and assign one to "up a patch" and the other to "down a patch". You can then switch between as many loops as you want for verse, chorus, m8, intro, outro, cheesy breakdown... FUN

I always use sync. Unless you’re doing ambient music I would always use sync. I also trim off the Mad soloist drummer endings. you can set it to fade out or just stop instead. The drums sound insane though a PA or clean solid state. You can send them separately. You can also add your own drums via usb, and there’s a midi in and out. Also the switching is switchable so you can stop with one press/two/long press etc. The best part is the genres offered cause me to play different styles and try new stuff with my songs. Great jams dave!

Dave - if you haven't already then try connecting output "B" separately directly to a clean speaker - hifi / PA / aux in / whatever, change the control in the menu to separate the outputs and the drums sound WAY better as the guitar and drum signals get sent out separately. The menu settings to turn this on are a bit fiddly the first time - feel free to send me a message if I can help.
