His father as well was a boxer and my trainer, very good trainer, with university degree in sport coaching. Soviet boxing style, very academic.

How hard were the heavy/body bags that you used at the gym ? Hard like rock or soft like a body ?
@rb847

@@Highlander1432 Some heavy bags were new and soft (one or two). Most of them were old with soft worn middle, like a body, and very hard, like a rock, at the bottom. It was early 90s, Russian sports were in some trouble. We had a wooden gym bench for a bench press. Some sort of a USA ghetto or USSR style boxing gym. And some teens could not afford new boxing gloves. Therefore, the thickness of their gloves in the middle, in a knuckle area, was like 1 cm, instead of at least one inch. Russian boxing helmets were 1 cm thick. Boxing shoes were not available in stores. There were only shoes for wrestlers in small sizes. I never had proper boxing shoes with my big feet.

@@Highlander1432 You are welcome! Well, you take everything for granted, when you are young. You just listen to your adult, experienced trainers. And they are like fathers to you, you don't want to disappoint them, you try your best. I still remember phrases of Aleksey's father to us - "If you skip one day of training, you loose one week of training", "The world is designed for strong people", "There are no hopeless situations". And if someone did less push ups, he would say "You are not deceiving me, but yourself!"...But I think it's all international. It's all about how much you want what you do. All you need is a very good trainer and very good health and you become Mike Tyson or Alex Ovechkin. Good luck!

Interesting how he adds that he doesn't really like throwing more than 3 punches because the opponent might get nervous and throw a counter.

Спасибо учителю за все видео, так что практика такая опасная .. Я из Марокко, у меня есть вопрос к вам, в чем разница между тем, когда мы используем movebale hande в стойке, и когда мы используем обычную стойку, не двигая руками, и спасибо.

His combos and punches seem purely fundamental boxing, which is great as the fight progresses and against amateurs. I think this style is bad against brawlers who throw only KO punches and have basic boxing skills as well as ring generalship. A competent aggressive opponent would seemingly cause major problems for a pure boxer. It's hard to tell unless you see it in action. Styles make the best fights, and you must be well rounded to compete outside amateurs. I would love to see sparring against outside fighters with different styles so we can judge the effectiveness or even a real match that is broken down on every exchange. Until that happens, it's all theories and speculation

This way you hide half of your face, especially your chin. Because you need just a 10-15 kgs punch to be knocked out, if you don't see it coming your chin. And an average boxing punch in boxing gyms is 200-500 kgs.

Ive knocked out many men using this combination throughout my life. Sometimes i will just faint to get my shoulders in to position instead of throwing the first punches and follow it with a hook! Love these videos!!!!!

Hook shoots are not very efficient. Boxers like Inoue do not use wild hooks. Instead, Inoue moves his waist and shoulder to generate power without swinging his arm much.
