I remember as a small kid returning bottles to the machine in the grocery store so I could buy more candy. 99% of bottles in Finland are returned to shop. 40c for the big ones, 20c small ones and 15c for cans. So I'm kinda shocked that it's such a special thing in the US. I remember when I was in the US it was like time travelling (60y into the past).

Quick tip for new gardeners. Turn your soil when creating a new bed that's never been grown in if you have clay or hard pack but don't do it every single year or between crops as shown in this vid. It's not necessary and is actually detrimental to your soil biology and can create weeds which you will then have to deal with later.
