Bassist Neil Jason is Amazing. This kat is so dynamic with Bass cord progressions. He hits cords with a chorus effect the same time the Piano keys player hits his cords. At the same time maintaining the Bass line. Mike Brecker the bad ass sax man. RIP Mike B

Nah, he used to practice about 10-12 hours a day. Of course he was talented, but he also sweated those notes one by one every day...

Fortunately, Michael stopped using immediately after the recording of Jaco Pastorius' Birthday Album recorded in Florida December 1, 1981 It is the very last recording he made in a chemically (opiate) altered state.
