When ordinary people share the authentic backstage truth behind their success, the doors of possibility open for all of us! Many years ago I came across a lady who had not graduated from college until she was almost 30 years old. By the time I had found her, she was a college professor and on the verge of changing millions of people’s lives. This woman is Brené Brown. Brené has spent the past two decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy. She is the author of six #1 New York Times bestsellers and is the host of two award-winning podcasts, Unlocking Us and Dare to Lead.
Brené’s TED talk on the Power of Vulnerability is one of the top five most-viewed TED talks in the world, with over 60 million views. Brené is the first researcher to have a filmed lecture on Netflix, and in March 2022, she launched a new show on HBO Max that focuses on her latest book, Atlas of the Heart.
In this interview with Brené, we talk about the idea of being enough, love + belonging, worthiness pre-requisites, our shame gremlin of never good enough, the things in our life that keep us small, and our triggers. Every time I listen to this interview I learn something new or am reminded of something I want to remember and I did the interview with her.
