Thank you, truly, for editing out all my "um's" 🤣 kidding aside, so thrilled we got to speak. Thanks for having me.

A 2 day turnaround on sound editing a 2 1/2 hour show is insane. Wow.

This was a a delightful interview! I love hearing about all the nitty gritty details of the sound design. Coming from doing tech crew in high school, it is always so great to get to know the people who make all the magic happen.

We can appreciate a video call professional, TJ Dumser! Great video quality and sound of course. Great and enlightening interview. Love hearing from all these hard working people BTS. And his work can be heard across *all* Dropout shows, which is insane. Very impressive.

I was so excited when you mentioned this interview on the Dropout Drop-in! I’m also still absolutely mystified by the sheer number of projects at Dropout that TJ worked on.

I can only imagine the sheer dread this man felt when Brennan started building that contraption to ring the gong.

Having just watched the adventuring academy episode with Sam Reich, and having to turn the volume way up to barely be able to hear Sam, it makes total sense now to know that Brennan is just very loud :p

TJ doesn’t mix that show

Haha, dynamics are tough! And thankfully, I can say I don't mix that show - though, it's sounding like the feedback was such that it *does* need a mix, eh? Haha :)

Honestly hilarious timing considering how quiet Sam was in Adventuring Academy vs Brennan. I genuinely couldn't turn up my earbuds enough to hear Sam but Brennan was definitely audible haha

Haha! Funny timing, indeed! I can safely say that Adventuring Academy isn't one of the shows I mix - in fact, it might be the only series I don't! But seems like it needs some audio-attention!

@@SixMissing Truly didn't mean this as a pointed criticism, I'm sorry! I found the timing funny, especially because it was the first thing I'd ever heard on Dropout where this was an issue. But I should've realized you might see it and that my comment sounds like a targeted subtweet. I love all your work and hearing about just how much you do for Dropout was incredible! My sincerest apologies and greatest thanks for your work, Dropout is the best $6 a month I spend and you're a big part of that :)

@@savindafishies6832 that's really cool to hear! And awesome that you agree, ha! For Dropout, at least, they are always kind of doing a "live show" :)

So, this is who we have to blame for the obnoxious crew laughter plaguing every show now??
