I am so glad that you have done this review. We have the model with the humidity pump, and I really like it. I have been putting silicon drawer liner down on the bottom, but I am going to try the blue paper towels next time. I can fit 11 jumbo quail eggs in each rail, so a total of 88, which is usually a good size hatch for us. I doubt the dry hatch would work here in our arid desert environment, but that's all right. I believe it is good to have alternate info just in case. Thanks for all the help and info you get out so we can have as good an experience as possible with our quail.

By far my favorite incubator! I bought one with a humidifier my first hatch was a 93% hatch rate with the fertile quail eggs. I just hatched out some chicken eggs out of 40 fertile eggs 39 hatched the 1 that didn't was fully developed and made it half way around zipping apart then passed. I'm not sure why, but if it would've made it, it would've been a 100% hatch rate! Definitely worth it's money. I do use the chicken egg turners for the quail eggs and it does just fine.

I have the one with the humidity pump. So so easy and great hatches. I use the regular rails and zig zag the eggs in and standing on pointy end. Any extra spaces I use packing peanuts to hold spaces. I also use silicon steamer liners and have cut out copies of the cardboard hatching mats rather than having to order cardboard ones as they can go in when loading. I do use an govee in a rail so it’s right where the eggs are. We put incubator into the brooder so they don’t escape at transfer.

I have one of the Brinsea cabinet incubators with the humidifier you mentioned. It's an excellent product that I have used for many years. Quite honestly, I wouldn't buy any other brand. I have been so impressed. If it suddenly died on me today, I would say it was worth the money and buy another - but there's no sign of it dying any time soon. I'm not sure if you said how it compared out of the box on temperature/ humidity. Mine has been great but, just to let your viewers know, there is a recalibration facility built-in in case it should need adjustment. Mine never has. 😊

I watched this earlier and have watched your other reviews. My LG 11300 decided to go crazy yesterday, temp went up to 107.1 on my Govee and Taylor confirmed that! Tossed out 32 eggs today... All considered I want to incubate a max of 50? eggs, which incubator is the best value for that, in your humble opinion. Thanks for what you do to educate and help everyone

After trying several other incubators, I bought a Brinsea 56 EX with the automatic humidifier. I had 3 different sets of breeders and marked the eggs to indicate which cage they came from so I could check if the males were doing their job. I set 24 eggs for my first hatch. Nine from one cage, 7 from the second and 8 from the third. I had 4 Govees in with the eggs. Temperature and humidity were consistent between all of the sensors and the bator itself throughout the hatch. None of the eggs from the third cage developed, so I'm assuming the male isn't fertile or isn't getting the job done. Three eggs from the first cage also didn't develop, so I went into lock down with 13 eggs. I had 9 hatch on day 17 and last one as a straggler on day 18. That bird had curled toes that I was able to fix, but is way behind the other birds in growth (about 1/3 the size). They are now 3 weeks old. The straggler is a hen along with 3 others and the other 6 are roosters. Overall, I'm very pleased with my results. The infertile, or non-mating, male in the third cage had been heavily bullied by another male before I separated them and I'm surprised that he survived, so I'm not at all surprised that he's not working out.

I have this same incubator. Just to say that in the instructions it says if there is a difference in the reading between the incubator digital readout and a secondary thermometer you put in, trust the incubator. That is because unlike the cheaper incubators, the Brinsea uses laboratory grade electronics, which costs way more, but is dead accurate. In addition each incubator is individually checked before it leaves the factory. So that's what I did, trusted the incubator, and got excellent hatch rates. Also I did not know you could buy them without the automatic humidifier, but I would highly recommend. Mine has it, I just hang the tube into a jar of water, set the humidity to whatever I want, and it automatically pumps in the exact amount of water to hold the humidity at exactly what you set it at. Other than candling which I do at ten days, the incubator is pretty much set and forget. Now I have an incubator I can trust, I no longer stress, worry, and constantly check, I know this incubator is doing exactly what I set it to do, unlike pretty much all the cheaper incubators. And oh, a comment on your videos, way better than the average KZitem videos, you have a pleasant manner but more importantly present good information in an intelligent manner and don't waste time on waffle. Easy to watch 👍
