In part II, we look at the 'inch pattern' FAL variants used by the Common Wealth nations. The L1A1 SLR was the standard infantry rifle in both Australia and Britan, while Canada issued the slightly different C1/C1A1. Australia built a heavily modified HBAR FALO 50.42 as the L2A1, while Canada used the C2/C2A1. Britan on the otherhand did not field any heavy barreled FAL, instead relying on the trusty old Bren gun. Featured in this video are an original British L1A1 built by BSA, and a quality L2A1 kit build from an original Australian kit on a DSA Lithgow type receiver.
