Johnny has the best voice ever!!! I love this group so much! I was there for his last concert and it was awesome even though he knew he was going to die! Johnny gave it his all! Singing my favorite song! I did not realize he was sick and it did not seem he was sick! Singing that song was the one thing I will never forget! When he sang You Will Never Walk Alone! It was the most wonderful version anyone could ever hear! He knew he was going to pass away and it was the best version ever! RIP Johnny! You are the best and will never be forgotten!

Just one of the best of the best, Johnny Maestro. I met him a few times at his concerts and i have to say he wasn't very nice to fans..but still couldn't get enough of his fantastic voice.

I agree, he appeared to be “very detached from his fans”, but I think that feeling might have been due to health or perhaps his appearance - specifically the early hair loss. I got that same impression when he came off the stage at the last concert I saw him up here in New Hyde Park, New York.

Oh..and something that I thought was hilarious was..the Brooklyn Bridge did a set of all songs by Gary Puckett & the Union Gap. But..Johnny Maestro announced.."For our next set..we're going to be doing some tunes by that very famous band..GARY UNION & the PUCKETT GAP!! Do you know those guys"?? I thought purposely mixing up the name of the band was really funny!! Well..Hey..I was only 14..Gimme a break!! LOL....

I consider this one of the most uplifting performances I have ever seen or heard. This song, out of tens of thousands I have heard in my 68 years, has rapidly catapulted to the top 10 , if not #1. I missed it somehow, but heard it on LNG RADIO out of Sag Harbor this past Monday before I had a couple of teeth pulled. This song blew my mind, to use the old expression, and I can't get enough of it. THANK YOU, SMITTY, for posting this!
