Those old style clutches like that with the big surface plate I used to set them with a width of a dime at idle and the width of a quarter when engaged and I would have grabbed a spring off of a cross conveyor stop roller arm I'm taking it from the top of the solenoid box down to the clutch arm to assist on pulling it up until you can get in there with some better parts

Yeah, rip it apart, check the worm shaft and replace the clutch. That clutch was never maintained.

I'm located in the USA. And thats what EBN from brunshwhick sends us when we order. And only brand that they have listed. Think it's a 210 the breakers on the machines are 20 amps. If that info helps.

The big question is, are they working properly? Do you have a lot of fail to cycle issues?

Every now and then. It's more of it sticks shut or rake sticks down.

How do you test those seliniods. Was told to use continuity and if it reads more then 40 it's good if under 40 it's bad. ?

A good solenoid should meter around 100 ohms. They may have fail to trigger issues when they get lower than that.

Seems like even the new seliniods we get in show between 40 and 50.

@@blackbeard6663 Set the meter to ohms and re-check. That's a very low reading. What brand are you testing? What is the operating voltage on the label? What voltage is being supplied to the cycle solenoid? You can check solenoid supply voltage by metering pins 19 and 20 on the time delay module when the machine is turned on.

Using "Dormeyer" brand. Part # 7790-2 Voltage 230 v. FREQ 80 Hz

@blackbeard6663 I am not familiar with that brand. It isn't OEM. The OEM units will be Guardian or Deltroll brand. They come in 120 or 208/230 versions at 60 HZ for US electrical systems. 80 HZ wouldn't be recommended unless you live in an area with 80 HZ AC voltage. 40 to 50 ohms may be normal for the brand you are using. However, the coil rating at 80 HZ seems odd. If you are in a country with 50 or 60 HZ, an 80 HZ solenoid would be substantially weaker due to the mismatch in operating frequency.

To much gap for the clutch disc and stop plate .prob sounds like a rattlesnake When running just need 10 thous of a inch
