SUGA said: "the lyrics for Tear were written for the members. When I was writing the melody, at the time, we were deeply contemplating whether we should quit or not. When I played the song for the members we all cried together". Also RM is saying "Tear" as in crying and SUGA as in ripping something apart.

Outro: Tear is so full of pain and anger - when they perform it, they want us to understand - and how can we not? Yes, it was inspired by the group seriously discussing disbanding, but it applies equally to the breakdown/breakup of any important relationship. These men are not simply “pop” stars or “kpop” stars, they are poets, lyricists, performance artists, psychologists, musicians, creative geniuses - and so very human, such exceptional men, all of them.

@@aberrououmel8626 I loved your comment too - no need to apologise for it being long 🙏 I am so glad that you have found a connection with BTS - hearing about how they have resonated with other people, and how their work and who they are as people has touched others makes me happy - thank you so much for responding. There is depth to their lyrics and complexity to their melodies that - I think - is too-often absent from music now. The many hours of content available has allowed us to understand them a little, and yes, I agree, their sincerity really reaches out, they are so authentic, they work so hard - I am inspired to be better and do better every day. Thanks again - your comment is so heartwarming 💜🌺

Thanks God they overcame the pressures and hardships and decided not to disband

Yoongi was not the sole writer of the song. Album credits list Shin Myung-Soo, DOCSKIM, Suga, RM, J-Hope as the songwriters for Outro:Tear and DOCSKIM as the producer. Yoongi was only speaking about his verses and the melody when he made that statement.
@RJ-zx9ds
3 жыл бұрын
@@borat8745 we don't know if Yoongi wrote only his verse or did he participate in writing some other parts. We can't know it unless the person talks about contribution. For example, if Tae didn't say that SUGA wrote Jimin's part in Blue&grey we wouldn't know it
@borat8745

@@RJ-zx9ds sure but i’m correcting OP’s statement that Yoongi wrote this song entirely which is false. He said “When I was writing the MELODY, at the time, we were deeply contemplating whether we should quit or not. When I played the song for the members, we all cried together.” Suga is my bias wrecker and of course he has so much input on the tracks but it’s disingenuous for OP to say he wrote Outro:Tear entirely when it’s not true and there are other songwriters outside of BTS on the track as well and who knows where what they were inspired by for the lyrics. DOCSKIM is the producer and also a songwriter for Outro:Tear too and his name comes before the members on the songwriting credits so I’m sure he has allot of influence on the lyrics as well.

The complexity of their lyrics, the positive impact they make and, above all, their humility. Nothing I write will be able to measure how grateful I am to have the privilege of living at the same time as our 7 boys at BTS. I love this song, feel every word in my heart. I haven't listened to music that I liked since I was young for over 20 years because I was hit by my miserable life. They returned my love for music. But ironically, I didn't first fall in love with their music. I was curious about their humility, friendship, dedication to music, and special love for ARMY that I came across through KZitem algorithms, and I listened to their music. Obviously, BTS is not the first singer I've ever liked in my half-a-hundred years of life, but they are the first and last artists I've ever loved and had fan club activities. Hello all! Jerri (female😌), Sweden. I’m 72 and discovered BTS in 2016 while searching internet for good dancing. Before BTS I had dismissed rap as destructive and vulgar. While I accept vulgarity used artistically (I’m certainly not above swearing myself 🤣), the destructive elements put me completely off. But when BTS uses rap to “diss”, they never ever use it to harm. Since 2016, I have watched BTS videos and BTS related videos nearly every day. They always lighten my day and my heart! Big Nerd (I’m fond of nerds as my husband is one), your reactions are thoughtful and engaging. Please continue!

RM, Suga,JHope joined 2010, Jin,JK, V 2011, Jimin 2012. Suga's words had them crying hard together + realized they hadn't had a loong needed break, but couldn't do without each other. They had to complete 2918/2019 tour + THEN would take a 1.5 mos break. That thought energized them + they signed for another 7 yrs, for the fans + themselves, not for money💜💜

Their translater(s) are soo on point! Rapping on the play on words with the homonyms tear(teer ) and tear(tair ); that understanding of English to that level is really amazing. The feelings they convey behind the homonyms are just rippers. I am really not much of a rap fan, but I have lived much of my life around people who spoke English as a second, or third, or fourth language. This comprehension of English spelling, pronunciation, and meaning leaves me stunned. Just, wow! And that word ignores what they did in the performance!

Thanks for checking it out!! This one doesnt have a music video unfortunately hahaha. This song is hard as hell fr. Suga wrote it when they were going through a really rough patch as a group and were considering disbanding due to pressure. When this song was written, in late 2017 - early 2018, it was right after they had a big break into the western music industry. And i guess it was all going too fast for a moment. But they said they pulled themselves together got thru it together. Theyre doing great now, thank god :) Edit: btw when i say "suga wrote the song" i mean he wrote the melody and his lyrics and such, and then RM and j-hope came in with their own lyrics for their verses after. Btw, suga said that when he first played the song for all 7 of em, they all cried together

I didn't know what to expect and reality took over. That day I discovered a new world musically speaking and I haven't looked back since. Thank you for your reactions, sending love from UK 🇬🇧💜 I recommend to watch 'Young Forever' from the same Wembley concert day 2. The Audience surprised BTS singing a song to them and it wasn't just any song. That song means so much to the seven members, reminds them about the hardships and difficulties that they had to get through. It is especially important for Jimin as he was really struggling back them. kzitem.info/news/bejne/zqOBvWyjp6VzYGk

This song is about break up ofc. But not only break up with your partner. It could be break-up with friends or family or the group. This song was made when BTS were thinking about disbanding. RM, in one of his live, talked about how tear had a different meaning for all 3 of them when it comes to goodbyes. For him it was the cause of his tears, for suga it was tearing apart and for jhope it was his fear. They are playing with the words here. And in their verses all 3 of them are telling the different sides of the story (not about the group though). RM talks about how the love was never real and he changed himself for someone else, wearing mask, that hurt himself in the end causing the tears. Suga says that he just wants to break apart as fast as possible, he doesn't want to feel the pain so just rip his heart out as fast as possible and end it, referring to tearing apart. And jhope says that he wish he hadn't cried, he wish this hadn't affected him so much bc now it has instilled a fear of parting in him, referring to the fear.

It’s just such an incredible performance especially once you know it’s about them disbanding and that when suga played it for the members that they all cried… ugh … I just love these guys man… there’s so much to love, also ugh the beauty in the melody… in the instrumental… it’s this gorgeous and super emotional sounding melody… something you would hear in the emotional build in a movie or something cinematic… and the fact that it’s being used in this powerful rap song… about the struggles mentally of them disbanding… and how they deliver every part of the song is exquisitely crafted. This song will always make you feel something… it’s so good. If he hasn’t seen “ugh” he def should .. ESPECIALLY the online concert
