Orange kudos. Tips from another first user. Use a mandolin slicer. Thinner. Turn every 1/2 hr. Dry 100% so don't mold. For Xtra scent add allspice, cinnamon or clove. Yay!

Danie, try to not be surprised when HGTV calls trying to sign you. This year you really knocked it outta the park! I love the garland, each step of the process it just got better & better. The book sled is so cool. Nice & chuncky, very simple. Talk about custom ornaments, using the same paint as the kitchen cabinets, genius! High priced high end glassware, no worries, Danie & her Cricut saves the day coming up with your own holiday starware with the cutest napkin, too. Best line: "Look at me, I'm being Marth Stewart today." Ha ha ha! Regarding the little sled, I made a trip to my local "Family Dollar" store today and they had gorgeous sleds for hanging on a door as Christmas decor, and they were FIVE DOLLARS! The sleds came in red or white, but could easily be painted over with colors that fit one's decor. I didn't measure them (no tape measure with me and I wasn't looking for them anyway), but I'd say they were about 18 inches long and 10 to 12 inches wide. VERY cute with "Merry Christmas" painted on them in contrasting color to the body color.

In order to decorate successfully with beads on a tree, this has been my experience. You NEED 3 strands. Divide the tree into 3 vertical sections. Start each strand near top and spiral down diagonally, draping where you want them. Voila!

Hi Danie, I love the garlands with the oranges and berries! I only dislike the painted balls. Beautiful! The garland was better with each layer. The orange/bell garland brings it over the top. Now, simmer some orange slices, cinnamon sticks, cranberries, bay leaf, maybe even rosemary or thyme on your stove or in a crockpot for a delicious smell all throughout the home. The glassware, and pieces - WOW!! So pretty and festive!!! This all goes right into the New Year and a bit beyond!! Ingenius idea buying velvet pillow covers to create your own ribbon! Now to just sit back with a cup of hot cocoa or tea (orange, perhaps !!) and ahhhhh... Happy Saturday!!

Once upon a time I came to your channel by watching Alexandra Gater, who had been highlighted by XO Macenna who had been featured on Lone Fox -- I guess what I'm saying is it is so nice how often you just call out other KZitem channel people. You're all artists you're all small businesses and you are better than almost everyone else at just name dropping them and saying their channel is great their art is amazing I really like them. Not just link below. Not just I saw this on TikTok. No you actively promote them for being good at what they do and how much you enjoy watching them too. And it makes the whole KZitem community feel just a little bit smaller and a little bit cozier and it really adds to the humanity of your projects. And it makes me like you as a person more too. Cuz that's a real selling point for me. I don't like watching businesses doing promotional work. I like watching you. And it's really nice that you're that giving and generous with your praise. And I wanted you to know that it's working. It got me to you and you got me to others. And I hope they appreciate you for it.

For orange garlands, you basically want to slice the oranges as thinly as you're capable of doing so. They take a long time to dry. If they do dry the whole way through, then you can put them in a cookie tin and store them to be used for multiple years. You can also stud them with cloves before you put them in the oven if you want!

After reading/watching a bunch of orange tutorials that warned me about them changing color, or careful not to have too hot of an oven or you'll burn them, etc, etc, I thought, "what if I don't even bake them at all?" They just need to get dried without getting rotten or nasty. And the color doesn't change if you don't heat them in the oven. I ended up putting them on a wire rack over my radiators for a day or two and they turned out beautiful.

Before putting your orange slices in the oven, blot the pieces with a paper towel to remove some of the juices. It will help the slices to dry out while in the oven. Another way to use the navel oranges (instead of cutting them up into slices) is to stud the oranges all over with cloves and then place them in a bowl to scent the air. If your bead garland keeps slipping off the tree branches, use an ornament hook to snag the garland which will make it easier to hang the garland from the tree branch. Wishing you and your family and friends a very Merry Christmas!

Like 15 years ago I did my first batch of dried orange slices and they are still in a good shape. I also decorate the table or gifts with them together with cinnamon-sticks and staranise. Equal thin slices and low heat are essential. As moths seem to like them as well, add cloves to the storage bin - all insects hate cloves...to keep them dry add silica-gel.🎄🎄🎄

I’m a painter, so I would probably have done all these gold stars with a stencil or maybe even by hand, but it would have taken forever, and then, the glass + paint must be baked in the oven to make the paint permanent, so it would have been a crazy long job compared to the system that you used and that I have never tried. You made me want to try the orange garlands, I love oranges too. Your video reminded me the demonstrations that I was doing just before Christmas in a big arts and crafts store in Paris, when I was still living and working there. Good times! A lot of fun! 😊
