Well, I was debating on whether to grab a G5 and I'm glad I did. Literally got it today and decided to do a quick recording.
The amp has a ton of features and honestly, I'm amazed at what you get for the price.
My take on any amp isn't so much about how dirty it can get (however, there are amps that are made for high gain primarily). I like to get cleans and some breakup out of an amp. The G5 does have a lot of gain available but it can offer some nice, melodic breakup tones with the drive knob rolled back and the volume turned up.
This amp isn't very loud, it's only 5W. However, I'm pretty used to the output of my USA Peavey Bandit so my ears are probably a little jaded.
There are two guitar tracks. The left channel is the gain section turned pretty far down, offering some nice chime. The right channel is clean. I'm using a Digitech RP360XP in the effects loop for delay, chorus and reverb.
Overall, I'm very impressed with this amp. Like I said, it's my first day with it but I can see it sticking around. It's a good little amp.
Note, these tones are all recorded direct using the cabinet emulated output on the 412 setting into a Presonus Audiobox USB.
Please subscribe for more vids! Thanks!
Side note, I've owned the Blackstar HT5 and I honestly think this Bugera has nicer tone and definitely better functionality. Flame away. :)
