What Jay is trying to explain here is that opening your hands actually recruits more of your chest CUZ you are taking out a good portion of force and stability off the forearm and your shoulders and pecs are forced to do that extra work, will def. try it
@TheBussyAnnihilator
Жыл бұрын
This is completely false & unsubstantiated. There’s no reason gripping the bar over the handles would do any such thing.
@JauntyWhale
Жыл бұрын
Read what you've said and try make it make sense. Gipping with a closed hand doesn't reduce any of the load your chest is taking. More forearm does not mean less chest.

this is actually great. i don't always think much of pro advice (winning the genetic lottery and working really hard doesn't confer any magical knowledge, just non replicable personal success) but the open hands concept and the alternating high-stretch movements after high-load movements for chest hypertrophy are both extremely good ideas and a good demonstration of how to implement them

EXCELLENT JAY, THANKS BUDDY !! I will be so ready to do my chest like this and to do it much easier and safer whenever summer finally gets here cause I INJURED my pec tie in into the shoulder area and guess what exercise it was … 🎵 🎶… … … …FLAT BAR BENCHPRESS !!!! Oh how SURPRISING right?! Wasn’t too bad since I had a safety catch underneath and the pain is now practically gone and will probably use your favorite instead now, the Smith Machine benchpress “much later” and not so much weight next time 😉💪😎👍 THANKS JAY !!! U STILL looking great man! 👍👍

Glad I ain’t the only one but yeah it’s ideal Man. Jay is right & his suggestions are on point. Really get that squeeze best thing is to imagine there’s a pencil or finger between your pecs & you’re trying to squeeze it with your pecs keeping your head up for the most part as too many people have their head down & also shoulders back & chest out don’t slouch
