Do you like the metal frame clamp better than a strap clamp like Bessey's. I like the rigidity of the metal clamp, but wondered how hard it was to keep it square seeing that you have to tighten those bolts individually.

I gave up on framing panels on my boxes because if for any reason you have to sand the top your SOL. The hinge is pretty cool.

What type of roundover bit did you use to make the hinges?
@weberwoodshop
4 жыл бұрын
John Wilder just a regular roundover bit, the Incra Hingemaster lets you use a few different sizes depending on how big you want your hinge to be. I think this might have been a 3/8” but I don’t remember for sure. The instructions will specify.

how do you keep the hinges from falling apart? do you have to drill a hole to incert a dowel? only glueing on the two ends?
@weberwoodshop

Mike Johnson yes, it’s actually a brass pin. I will show that in the next video, which I’m already editing! Are you on Instagram? There are more updated photos of the hinges and even the finished boxes on my feed there.

Great work. Your ideas make me nostalgic for my younger days before I bought all these power tools. The days before I had seen a router. Can you consider doing a video on your blade tensioner for the bandsaw.
