My Top 3 takeaways 1 - Whever you Comment, do not address it to the author. Address it to the Audience. And make sure to provide Free Coaching and add even more Value (that’s not included in the post) 2 - Jasmin Alić starts every post with “Dear Son” Ensuring that he is only writing to ONE reader everytime. He talks about how anyone can do this - And it’s one of the best ways move past Post Anxiety When you are only writing to one person. 3 - Your Hook SHOULD be a preview to the whole post. What that means, is that the first couple of lines should be simple enough That anyone that stumbles on the post, even if they don’t have a Maketing or LinkedIn background Will understand what the post will be about. __ This interview was Godlike. 2 of my fsvorite creators. I'll be rewatching for sure 😊

Summary and Takeways: 1. Images: Always 4:5 resolution 2. Headline: Shows up everywhere. Modify it to make it your one line pitch 3. Commenting: Whever you Comment, do not address it to the author. Address it to the Audience. And add more value. Also reply to 3 other comments. 4. While drafting a post, address it as Dear XYZ and write the entire post addressing to one person. Before posting, remove the Dear part. 5. Hook: Summarize the post in one line OR Tell what the entire post is all about in one line OR what one can learn from the entire post in one line. 6. Re-hook: Add an objection to above hook and provide clarity OR put an opposite view to the hook.

9 powerful Jay's quotes from this amazing chat: 1. "No one is there to read your content. No one is there to find that particular post of yours. You will be interrupting someone's usage of the platform." 2. "Writing is 90% psychology and 10% formatting (and catering for the platform)." 3. "The hook gets you in the room (it makes it interesting)... But the re-hook slams the door behind you (and it keeps you reading to the very end)." 4. "Attention means nothing without retention." 5. "It's not about writing to millions. It's about writing to one as if they're worth 1 million people to you." 6. "Comments are the greatest growth "hack" on LinkedIn." 7. "If the post is a movie, your comment should be a post's credit scene." 8. "If your profile is super clear (and you're getting thousands of profile views every day), INBOUND BABY!" 9. "I hate the phrase "Practice Makes Perfect." You can never be perfect. Practice makes BETTER." Thanks to both of you, Jay & Chris! And a happy new year!

Top 5 Key Takeaways. 1. Write better hooks and re-hooks in your LinkedIn posts to grab attention and improve retention. Ask yourself - what's the one key thing you want readers to learn? State that clearly in the hook. 2. Comment thoughtfully on other people's LinkedIn posts to increase your visibility and brand authority. Aim to provide value for all readers, not just the original poster. 3. Optimize your LinkedIn profile to clearly show what you do and have a strong call to action. This converts profile views into leads. 4. Consistently practice writing daily, even if you don't publish it. This will help you improve your writing skills over time. 5. Building personal brand and authority on LinkedIn takes time but can change lives. Focus on empowering others, not just gaining reach or monetization. This is Goldmine of knowledge. Thanks for sharing Jay & Chris.

Chris, you have an idea how much you inspired me to start designing. I'm so in love with designing but I decided to focus on my career in cloud engineering while building my personal brand on LinkedIn. You helped me define my brand color, taught me typography, and helped me understand how to use contrast in my designs, without ever meeting you. Your LinkedIn profile inspired mine. Your banner also inspired mine. I've stolen all your carousels and taken a spin on them. THANK YOU! 🧡

This was so much more clear than anything else I’ve heard people say about LinkedIn. It’s not a hack, because you have to do the work to get skilled at writing. What this advice does is help that practice bear fruit. As a musician, I know that simple practice isn’t enough. It’s the right kind of practice that makes all the difference. Thank you.

I wasn't posting much content, but I was genuinely interacting with other people's posts (comments) and suddenly folks are interacting with my profile and following. However... Jay's tip on not commenting to the original author = 🔥 I have push notifications switched on for a select few creators on LinkedIn so I can comment early 🥇

Thank you Chris for this deep dive with Jay! Amazing insights. I would just add that it is important to stick to that one call to action beyond Linkedin. That is only possible if you a have clear vision and focus on your main KPI. Having a focus (on a single CTA) takes a lot of try and error, combined with a lot of tracking the right metrics. Don't be afraid to experiment, but you want to be quick in finding it. Sticking to it is the harder part. To do so, you need to first to be sure (not only believe) that it is the perfect CTA. If you have it, the advices shared by Jay are a gold mine!

I agree with everyones comments and the take-aways, there are so so many of them. One that I have not seen as yet and that resonated with me was at 42:33 "Helping Left-Brainers think Right." I completely got this straight off the bat. It made sense and resonated for me and my rep. system. This was a clear example that we can not, and never will be everything to every one, in all of this, our voice must remain our own and unique voice. There is so much vanilla out there in peoples posts that the flare up in Chris's Headline would stop me scrolling to find out more. I appreciate this insight deeply.
