With keeping an eye on product reviews, I have found that there are lots of people out there that struggle with assembly. It is not easy for them even in the best instances, so if the directions are poor or the assembly takes some know-how, they may give a bad review. Great video! I love how most of the comparisons were close to each other in price-the only real miss for me was the rattan armchair ($250) vs. the dish chair ($25). If a $250 chair is within someone's price range, they're probably not also considering one that's ten times cheaper, right? I'd love to see you continue this series using items priced similarly to each other, and to call out those prices like you did with the console tables in this video. Bonus points if both items are fairly cheap (if someone is sincerely considering the dish chair, what should they buy instead on that budget?) 😊

You make an excellent point about Target stock selections. The closer you are to their main offices or a larger urban area, the better the selection, and vice versa. Most retailers follow a grading system for store locations based on population and level of business, but wise retailers don't let outlying locations get degraded to the point that shelves are empty, selections sparse, or deliveries few and far between. While it's not my taste, the acrylic bookshelf seems much easier to clean than the rattan/cane corner bookshelf. I cannot even think of how to clean the latter, except with a Swiffer dust rag and a vacuum cleaner. Whereas the acrylic bookshelf can probably be cleaned easily with Windex.

That's true, but rattan that's not dusty with scratches and that creaks at night is not authentic :D while translucent shiny materials will show dust the next second after you've cleaned them. Acrilic will summon dust from your neighbour's house after you clean it, it doesn't even matter how squeaky clean you keep your own. I know because i'm typing this on a massive acrilic desk I've lived with for the last 8 years.

Snakeskin is unappealing because generally, snakes are unappealing. They’re creepy. No one runs up to pet a snake. Anc Golden Girls has ruined rattan for me. 30 years off the air and I still can’t look at the stuff.

I own the caned door console and I get so many compliments on it. But yes it was a nightmare to assemble and had to drill my own holes to make it work. Also the surface scuffs so easily >_< but I guess I get what I paid for

Wondering if the dish chair folds flat; it looks like it does. I’m looking at a move to a much much smaller place in maybe six months. I have my couch chosen (IKEA…don’t judge me, I’m on a disability pension, so cost is a big concern). I was thinking that if the Dish chair folds flat, and can then go in a closet or under the bed, it would be a great space saver. (Im moving from a three bedroom house to an over 55s apartment complex. Which has one bedroom and a “nook”. The nook apparently will fit a temporary bed, or sofa, sofa bed, and can be a hobby area. I think it works out to having a one and a quarter dwelling.) I really hope something like that is available here Down Under. With that price, you can assume it’s not going to be a forever piece, but if used as I would, just every so often with multiple visitors (which never happens), I think it would be worth the price.

Animal print peel and stick wallpapers are wonderful for when your parents go on a month-long cruise and ask you to house-sit for them. I don't think my mother will ever forgive me for the tiger-striped kitchen cabinets and pink cheetah print countertops... LOL

Sorry Nick, I bought four, yes four saucer chairs. My cats enjoy them. I can throw the cushion in the washing machine for cleaning and the chairs are easy to move from room to room when necessary. The cats lounge and sleep in them. Everything has a purpose and the saucer chair has found its' purpose in my home. 😹🐱

That acrylic bookshelf would be a nightmare. Never mind the dust, that stuff scratches if you look at it. I like the look of cane - until it gets snagged and/or starts to come apart, which it inevitably does. Then it looks terrible.

I can’t do animal prints Nick. I’ve tried but decided to have lots of pets instead 😂that last room with the animal print chairs and multi colours would frighten me. It looked like someone was having a hectic day and I think that a lot of arguments would happen at this dinner table. Thought the painting was a mirror at first then realised I’d rather be sitting at the little table in the picture.

Frankly I dont have time to read all the comments. Plus forgive me if this is a repeat. I really like the look of the first item, the rattan chair with the terra cotta colored cushion. However it doesn't get enough positive reviews for me to buy it. :(

I’m not a big Target fan, but I did recently buy the Target Daggett chair. I love it, and am sitting in it right now. I did customize it though. I made a white slipcover for the seat cushion. And I wanted a slightly taller, slightly softer back cushion. So I replaced the back cushion with a piece of the foam from the chair it was replacing and slipcovered that in the same white fabric. Now it’s perfect!
