I'm not sure if you've heard or not, but there was a change to the launch date of the buyer agency change.
August 17th is the new proposed date for the changes to go live. They pushed it back about 30 days from the original date that was in mid July.
Now the question is, what does this mean for you? Well.. I'm going to share some insight on a conversation that I keep hearing over and over. Not only within our team with our clients, but from sellers all over the country.
"I'm going to wait to sell my home until this changes so I don't have to pay commission to the buyer agent."
Now, if you're anything like me... You don't like spending money when you don't need to. I run a business, and I save costs anywhere I can. As I'm sure you do as well.
There is a key point that I want to underline here. This thought process highlights how a lot of sellers (not all) think when selling their home. A lot of sellers are most worried about cutting costs, and they usually only look at agent commission.
Understandable. It's a lot of money.
