As a german I can confirm, acids like citrus or vinegar do attack corrosion and eat it away while vinegar works the best for all natural solutions. There´re even better options industry wise (cleaners for restaurants e.g) but I wouldn´t trust those regarding other parts, they might take rust of even better but also might kill other components. But even with vinegar be careful mate, metal only because I don´t know how the PCB and other components react to the acid and I would try that on something broken and not worth repairing anymore.

Back in college I legit tried my hand on flipping PCs thanks to Tech Yes... Managed to earn some nice clean profit, at least for college era me... I loved the work, but the after sales service was a nightmare... Stopped after about a year of doing it, once the warranty period for the PCs I've sold run out. Learned a lot about building PCs, and made a few precious connections...

Another great find mate! I found a massive crypto miner in sydney who has boxes of 1660 supers/ti's but they were looking way worse than these. I took one 1660 super that was the best I could find but 6 hours of (24 really if you count the white vinegar soak) cleaning and repasting and re-placing the pads. I'm really tempted to get the rest of it but they were charging ok pricing for used cards instead of really good pricing for heavily mined gpu's...

Invest in a multimeter, bro. Do the basic tests for shorts before plugging them in. Yes, the PSU should cut, and save the boards, but it's not a guarantee you won't smell the magic smoke. It only takes a few seconds to check - which will save the time of reassembly if you find it's short. Worth trying the vinegar in the ultrasonic bath too. The dead one... Is it code 43? Run mats/mods on it. Probably dead ram.

now that 9 of them work, maybe consider putting those vrm heatsinks back in? The vrm can be pretty garbage considering the very light heatsink, id reckon that isnt the only place they cost cut, and require the vrm heatsink to stay within operating temp. Might ensure longevity of the card for the end user.

I bought two gtx 1070 from crypto miners and two rx580 from gamers. What do you think, which ones was in better condition? From gamers? Nope. Miners carries about gpus, they was in perfect condition, clean, new thermal paste every few months, undetvolted etc and works perfectly fine. Rx's from gamers were absolute scam even if work. PCB looks like mountains from Lords of The Rings, i can't understand how this still works, fans were completely trash, gpus were hot as Scarlett Johasson. Sometimes deal from cryptominer is safer than from gamer.

Also the console was not jailbroken. I had to jailbreak it myself and I managed to do it even though my soldering skills are not so good. I managed to fix the disc drive and even the controller (I had to replace a chip on the board). Now it is fully working, cleaned and worth way more money. I wish I had more soldering tools so I could fix more stuff.
