Thanks for your informative videos. I just returned from a Marine Max adventure from Florida to the West End Bahamas and have charted a sailing cat with another company in Mid March Tortola BVI. We were there in March 18, 6 months after Irma and had a private concert by Foxy with his at that time newly written song about Irma. Subscribed to your channel as your 7 day video contained places we had not stopped because of damage in 2018 and we again are there for 10 day..Thanks again

I only recently found your channel and love the information. Congratulations on your new Aquila. I wondered how the air was on the enclosed fly. Your recent post was eye opening. In all the tour vids one can find, they tend to stay positive (understandable as the channels rely on access) but that is an important consideration. I will be curious if you come up with a solution for the venting and the frustrating center porthole placement. I imagine the fuel transfer can be solved with fairly straightforward routing and a second pump. PS I had no idea what you did for a living until this vid. The Boys is pure genius. Thank you for bringing that story to fruition. I think all men (perhaps woman too) over 50 spent time with towels around their necks and running around pretending to be “super” and perhaps not fitting the Hall of Justice ethics. My days of running with a towel turned into a love of paragliding and powered paragliding. The Bahamas allow for the sport, I was curious if you ever saw the activity in the BVI? I have only been to Saint Thomas 15 years ago when I was married.

Love the new BVI videos. Motivated us to do are first Marinemax charter over Thanksgiving this year. Also got us to the BVI end of Feb for a few day charters with island time from nanny. They are great guys and the ones picking us up by water taxi inSt Thomas Nov 22 per your suggestion. My question is this. What tips do you have for things to bring along that the boat does not have already that you find useful. Example We day charter alot and I always take a solar charger for the phone along just incase we need some extra power for the batteries. I have looked at the provising list and see papertowels, toilot paper Booze etc. Do you suggest getting extra papergoods by provisioning or along the way. I plan to follow much of your itineries and wonder if things like extra rum, TP for the head, papertowels are readly available as needed along the way or it is easier and more convenient to get them upfront for the total week. Also are there any tips for other things to bring like gloves for mooring balls, bungies for holding stuff. dry bags etc. Love the videos and have sent them to many friends. Looking forward to the video on making the videos. Good luck on the new 54.

This is funny. You read most of the Questions I had. Most about garbage and mooring pay. Did not know some one may come and take your garbage. Thank you for the info Have not gone yet but planning. I retire in 2 years and want this trip to be my retirement send off.

These 4 videos have been great! Thank you. We have chartered the Moorings 434PC for only 5 days starting Feb 27th. (we've moved this trip 4 times due to the pandemic). 3 of our 4 crew members don't want to take the time to go to Anegada. So our tentative itinerary is straight to the baths at 7am, (either stay at Leverick or Marina Cay), then stop at Monkey point on our way to Cane Bay, then stay 2 nights at Jost and finish at Bight. Does that sound decent? Thanks for the tip about ice and garbage too! Did you use the wi-fi on the boat? We'll need to upload home covid tests - I heard it's easy. Thanks for your advice!

Here's hoping and praying that you actually make it there this time! I'm leaving in 4 days...if everyone tests negative! Fingers crossed. I think that's a great itinerary. I've always said Anegada is a stretch on a 5 day voyage. Although very different and very wonderful, it's a bit of a hike. It depends on who you are and what you like as to whether I'd stay on Jost for 2 days. It's a 1.5 day place for me. Simply because I can scoot to Cane Garden or Soper's Hole in the late afternoon and just have a different place to hit for the night. Depends on what your crew likes! BTW, make sure you can actually leave Moorings at 7am. Last time I was there we werent allowed to shove off until about 9 or 10. Have a safe trip!!! And thanks for watching the channel.

@@thewanderinghillbilly Thanks so much for all of the tips! Hopefully you can let us know how the testing worked, etc. I talked to the VP of Marketing and she said the wi-fi worked and was able to use the home kit just fine. Fingers crossed. Plus I pray no one is positive....ugh. I was surprised to learn we have to fill the water tank when we return....does the boat have a hose or is there one on the dock? Safe travels!

Hey, do you us a dome or cover on your GoPro10 for submerged shots? Your videos are great, thank you for the content. 😊

I do not. so, I'm pretty rough on it and generally will replace it every year. It's quite durable and extremely reliable and you can just dump it right in the water and it'll come out fine. Big recommend tho...if you dump in salt water...immediately rinse it off with fresh water. Helps preserve it a little longer. thanks for watching.

Thank you for the info. My group will be on a Festiva charter in the BVI next Spring with captain and cook - any thoughts or experience with that company?

Watched your videos , did a four couple cruise bvi in January had a great time. Paid extra for brand new boat, still mechanical issues. Everyone I have spoken to about these cruises that have actually done them says the same thing. They will likely break down at some point on your trip. It’s just a fact. I think more time spent on that fact would be helpful for would be sailors. Also, for those of us that don’t go to these locations otherwise, bvi charges you an exit tax ($20) per head to leave the country. Wtf? I know it’s not uncommon but an exit tax? Not a huge expense but knowing it was going to happen would have saved some unkind thoughts towards the bvi on our last day. All of n all we had a captained charter and I highly recommend, just be prepared for constant taxes and tips and broken boats.

How expensive is it with the covid testing and how much stress was it with all the Covid protocols in place?

What’s going on there. Our trip was bust this past weekend. Appears customs has locked down 138 plus boats. Our entire vacation was ruined. No one let anyone know what the hell was going on last min. Hopefully a KZitemr will expose this catastrophe… From what we read… non compliance
