@@RailwayEmotions Sorry for the late reply. We stayed 3 days in Zurich, then Samedan, and lastly Lauterbrunnen. I really enjoyed the Rhatische Bahn - it is indeed a masterpiece and beautiful railway. I used the IC8 a few times between Zurich and Bern and also in the opposite direction from Bern to Zurich Flughafen on the day I was flying back.

Awesome video as always my friend. Yours always pick me up. Even in mild rainy conditions I am always amazed by the beauty of this country. It is still my dream country to see. Them guys at 25:47 look like they can glow in the dark. Good thing-safety first. Thanks for making another video so soon. Will be looking and waiting patiently for the next one. God bless.

Just sitting here this Christmas Eve enjoying traveling with my favorite driver on some of his awesome trips. Thumbs down! What you all don't know a good show if you seen one. These are the best videos! This is like my third time viewing lots of them each. Where else can you take a trip thru such beautiful countryside and see gorgeous cities and travel for free with first class seats. Also travel with a safe kind and courteous driver. I have no family this holiday and plan to spend my time in quiet solitude watching my favorite drivers videos. Oh I have to stop awhile tomorrow the 25th to make my birthday cake for the 26th, but then I will continue to watch all I can over this holiday. I hope you all have a blessed holiday and please stop awhile and enjoy the views here. I am sure you will be pleased. Subscribe if you haven't he has the best videos. God bless you all.
Thanks for yet another ride in Switzerland. Even now in several places there is snow. Does it snow till May also? At least the train doesn't stop too often.

Not a depot but Stadler themselves is there, where they do last checks and complete trains there before they will be delivered to the customer. Always interesting to see what's standing there.

Thank you. Another piece of the Swiss rail jigsaw. I now know where some of the Rail Adventure trains come from. New Stadler trains for outside Switzerland. General question, is there guidance for the position of power pentagraphs for units parked for a few hours? Rhb tend to drop theirs at any opportunity beyond a time for a normal station stop. But it is noticeable that most of the SBB units have theirs up even when on a siding parked.
@RailwayEmotions

With carriages coupled to the locomotive, pantographs MUST stay up to charge batteries etc.

You seem to drive everything: freight trains, suburban trains, InterCity trains, non-revenue runs. Does this video continue to Bern in a future instalment? Is it weird driving trains from the control car? Whenever I see trains with a control car at the front, I can't help but feel like they're going backwards-especially American commuter trains which don't have streamlined ends. I believe this is the first time anyone has published the section from Romanshorn to Weinfelden. There's a video from Weinfelden to Winterthur from a few years back, but the person who uploaded that stopped publishing cab views before you started. I'll have to add another blue line to the map over the weekend :)
@RailwayEmotions

We'll continue further to Bern in a future video. It's not weird, most trains here are push-pull, so we're used to it. It is different than sitting in the loco, but certainly not weird. See, I said you could pull a long blue line after this video. ;)

Sehr tolles Video, vielen Dank!

Was the "fan" noise from traction motor blowers or cab aircon? I noticed it stopped briefly after Zurich Airport.

There are no traction motors, since this is the control car, but aircon is correct.

Tiefbahnhof? Does the original HBH still exist in Zurich? Gosh...too many changes!
@catrachocolo
4 жыл бұрын
Of course it does ;-) The "original" that you remember is the above ground section of Zürich HB with 16 terminal tracks. However, in order to provide more capacity, the station was expanded with two underground portions (Museumstrasse, opened in 1990 and Löwenstrasse, opened in 2014) with a total of 8 through tracks. And then there is the SZU-portion, underground, with two more terminal tracks.
