Embrace the eery sounds of Alaska. Snow coming off trees in the woods, off your roof, trees cracking and popping due to heat changes, etc. are likely your problem. Noticed you have an oil tank, and the metal in the oil tanks pop and makes loud clanging noises. The loud bird at night that can sound like many other animals is the OWL. Owls don't just "hoot". Don't freak yourself out; the sounds are natural. As to the "footprint", it likely is not a single foot print, but a hunkered down animal - like a hare or something else. Don't let the "Bigfoot" tales worry you. I've lived in AK for 40 years.
@AloneinRemoteAlaska

Hello there fellow Alaskan! I hear you! So far I have been able to explain many of the sounds I have heard. Some thanks to my viewers. I think the natural causes of the noises is far more interesting. I don't ever immediately assume a strange noise is supernatural. I have to see it to believe it! Mother nature has her magic that is real. I definitely have horned owls on my property! The owls actually make me feel safe. Tracks in winter are most likely distorted from wind, melt or additional snowfall. But I have see bear tracks recently. Thank you Eve! :-)

They are not tales, just bcuz you haven't seen one doesn't mean they don't exist. In fact the state of Ohio is the only state 2 truly acknowledge their presence. The DNR (Department of Natural Resources) of Ohio has put out a whole series of videos talking about these creatures bcuz Of the large population of them in that state & in all their State Parks, etc.

trail cams around the cabin will help identify what "creature" is coming around. Have a horn or mega- phone handy; the louder you are will lessen the presence of things coming near your home. The megaphone is extremely loud and will not only alarm whatever it is but will make you more scary to whatever is stalking the area.
@AloneinRemoteAlaska

Around the cabin (or on the cabin) will be security cameras. Just past the tree line I will put many trail cams too. I don't have a mega phone but I do have air horns around the cabin. There is nothing more terrifying than "accidentally" activating the air horn in the absolute silence of my property. About gave me a heart attack! :-)

It sounds like you have maybe a juvenile big foot bugging you. Lol but if you put some apples or food of something like that you maybe able to get foot sprints or a pic on a trial camera. We do know a big foot thsts very aware will spot a camera and avoid it but you could get lucky. My friend in Colorsdo got a pic of the eyes snd brow ridge up close on his trial camera. He said he’s had them out gif so long thst this one was like ok here I am. What you gonna do about it? But it’s a super upclose pic. It’s just the eyes and the brow ridge. Then there’s another of it walking away a hood distance. So it availed the camera for another good pic. He posts his really good info in a private video page on his channel. He doesn’t want any crazies stomping around. He’s been getting a pic here of there for years. So this Sasquatch family is use to him. They don’t touch his motor home or anything cause he’s in the flat part if the ranch he lives in in a brand new motor home he just bought 2 yrs ago. The mountains are about 1 mile away from where he’s parked it. He has lived on this ranch for about 20 yrs or so.

One of my first thoughts with you living in the remote wilderness was if you'd encounter a Sasquatch. I have not had an experience, but I do believe they are out there...there are just too many encounter stories, and from fearless men, brought to tears just over the recalling. I hear they are especially drawn to women....and you are alone. .....and, I hear, they don't like dogs. If you are a believer in Christ, pray for protection... I am happy you are on this wonderful life adventure, though....it's been fun catching up! You are getting pretty good at filming, and editing! Thank you for bringing us along :)

Go to "How to Hunt" on YT. Steve reads out peoples experiences with Sabe (Big Foot), what you are describing fits other peoples experiences exactly. I am sure he would be of help to you and how to deal with it. They do not like lights and can detect cameras no matter how you hide them. They can see infra red apparently. Listen to your dog, he will warn you when one is around. Steve or Scott Carpenter will both advise you. You do know what is causing these things, you are wary about wanting to admit it in case of ridicule, more people than you realise is experiencing these same things, you are not alone.

I think I would consider myself a skeptic believer. I am a "must see it to believe it" person but will not dismiss that something could exist. I have been watching a few channels (including How To Hunt, Buckeye Bigfoot and Survivorman) What they say definitely sounds similar to what I experienced. But is what they say so similar to what I experienced because it could just be natural? You see where I am going? I can say, IF I see one, I will always assume they are not dangerous. With so many people going into the forests these days, there would be so many people disappearing. Thank you! :-)

I thought of a bear with a damaged paw. But some of the commits about a Sasquatch are interesting. Home bound for long periods of time has an affect, even if one is not depressed. Activity in general slows down and ... hard to explain. Maybe it is temperament and/or energy levels, sometimes it is easier to get a project over the top when working with a friend.

Seen very stange explosions of light that take place and have seen on three different ocasions orbs of light at the forest line. My property was logged 25 years ago. Have seen the tall grass move as if something was walking through it but nothing there. Have seen branches of trees bend like something is pulling on them but nothing is there. I dont worry about it i am aware of it. Something other than humans share our planet.

Well that sent some chills down my spine! I believe that the further you get from the “distractions” of city life, the more you “see”. Doesn’t have to be paranormal activity just because it cant be explained. Like I am just so amazed at how much wildlife surrounds me and that creates sounds I have never heard before! Have I seen orbs? oh yeah! I don’t have tall grasses but I can see into the forest and even on a still night, its moving. Mother Nature is real. More so out here! 😁

Leave an apple up about 8 feet off the ground for the Forest People known as Sasquatch. If you make friends you will not be bothered. All the sounds, smells, footprints indicate hairy neighbors. They are curious about you also but know you are female and by yourself so they aren’t getting aggressive with you. They can mimic sounds of other animals. Looks like they are trying to make you curious enough to start asking questions. You have the potential to have a wonderful adventure that will expand your thinking, And will help potentially if you get in trouble. Practice your telepathy as that is how they communicate, called mind speak. Everybody can do it. It’s just that most believe they can’t so, don’t.Been there myself on a walk through Yosemite back country for about a 40 minute exchange as I was walking. The squatch saved my life from drowning in a deep forest pool later that same day. But I never saw it. They can phase out of our human site so as to not scare us. (As if that really would help?). They have a sense of humor and can retaliate in the same way. You leave them gifts they will leave their kinds of gifts. Keep us informed. No need for me to say be brave, you’ve already shown you’re brave. I applaud you for your change in lifestyle. I’m envious!

If a Sasquatch is on my property, I have to believe they are friendly. Or this cabin would have been abandoned. I hear what you are saying and will pay attention! During my research I have heard stories of Sasquatch saving lives if you are nice to them and retaliating if you are aggressive. I believe in “mind speak” though. I do it with Kenai all the time. If they have a sense of humor, then we will get along fine! Maybe have a snowball fight someday! And if they like throwing rocks at my cabin just wait until I find theirs! LOL! Great advise Sarensusan! Thank you so much! :-)

It's a Sasquatch! You mentioned in a previous video that the dog went out back and a screaming woman was heard. The dog never went out back again. Bears do not scream like women. Sasquatch are known to do that. You are far enough out in the wilderness that the footprint you are seeing is from a Sasquatch. They are also called Skunk Apes because they stink like one. Imagine having all that hair all over your huge body and living outdoors, never bathing ... your dog knew there was a predator outside. Please pay attention to your dog! The sound of the wood falling could be an auditory after affect to the earthquake. Sasquatch throw rocks and you are all alone. They also mimic sounds. They hear your dog, hawks, owls They are known to try to temp people outside and they know you are there alone. People become their entertainment. Be careful and put up trail cams. Also, outside lights. They will not come into the area where the lights are shining. You can also go outside and tell them to please let you be. Tell them you are not going to cause them any harm and you don't want them to cause you any harm. That sometimes work for a while. If you can, listen to sasquatch chronicles on youtube. Wes Germer has created this platform for people to come share their experiences. He recently hit the 900 show mark so there's other stories like yours there. Hope this helps.

As for the footprints, You could have a bear walking around and the reason I say that is I watched a lot of hunting shows about bears and when a bear steps with the front foot and the backfoot comes up they tend to sometimes overload sometimes overlap making the print look in the print look more human like and there are a lot of times that the calls do not go into the dirt so it might look like a human footprint. And then my other side of the brain says you might have a sasquatch. I do not know exactly where you are located in Alaska but there is a thing called the Alaskan triangle where a lot of mysterious things happen.

Wes at Sasquatch Chronicles has a soft, kind touch with the many interviews he conducts. Nanc at Buckeye Bigfoot has a lovely voice for narrating emails and stories. There are literally thousands of reported sightings between these two men and Nance. Orbs are a very common occurrence with Sasquatch activity. They just do their thing to survive. Big Foot would have to be the same. Maybe there is one (or more) in my area and if so, there isn’t really anything I can do about it. Bigfoot is a ridiculous fantasy. My husband is a supercub pilot. Fish and game does their big game counts with a variety of methods, like grid counts of poop piles, etc. but their super weapon is aerial surveillance. Maybe these fantasists can explain why no pilot or paid game enumerator has in a century seen one bigfoot. No game cam shots. Etc. You have to take a ride in a supercub to understand how devastating this is to the bigfoot theory. Anything moving in the snow leaves tracks that stick out so brilliantly they can be seen miles away, all the leaves are down off the trees and the visibility of dark fur against the white snow even in a thick spruce patch makes the animals stand out. This is only one no-brainer, but a big one against the fantasists. The real world has monsters aplenty and my husband has had to shoot them breaking into the cabin, charging him at his moose kills, following him for 12 miles after his snow machine broke through the ice, hoping he would expire and become a tasty wolf pack meal... Our logs make very loud booming sounds as the temperature drops below -40 and again warming up. All the various metals have different temperature points for sounding off - the 55 gallon drums, the mining sluice boxes, big tanks, etc. The stove pipes make different sounds depending on whether it is our shop stove, the hot tub stove, or the house stove - all are different sizes. The catalogue of animal sounds is too long to list. Caribou dew claws clicking, a big bear just breathing is a "whoosh"ing noise surprisingly loud, moose calls, etc. Just because a green horn does not recognize a sound being made for millions of years does not mean it is supernatural.

Night sound owl?

That was my first thought! I do have Horned Owls on my property. But when I listened to some audio of them on KZitem, it sounded nothing like them unfortunately! At least what audio was available. The mystery continues! Thank you Debbie! 😁

Fun video: I was sure you were going to town to get milk bones.🤣 I’m a huge game camera fan. I put them out in to see what’s happening and to watch animal behavior. They are also good monitoring tools. It would be interesting to see what animals come and go in the spring.

I did make a run to the store just to get Kenai some dog treats! Oh and maybe I picked me up some coffee creamer too! I forget. 🤪 Game trail cameras and security cameras will be installed this year for certain! Hopefully there will be a lot of footage to share!

I live in So Calif in a residential area with a backyard that's surrounded by a solid fence. Area has no lakes, ponds etc. I put up video cameras and was amazed what visited my backyard! Everything from cranes, huge hawks, a mother duck with ducklings, coyotes... Also found out which neighbors dog was pooing in the front yard! So fun to come home and see who visited during the day!

Greetings from Ohio. You are an excellent speaker. I could listen to you all day. I don’t have any answers for your questions. I can’t wait for your construction to begin. I am also excited about meeting your son.

Thank you so much Carol! Never had anyone say that to me before except you 😁I can't wait for the construction to be over! I don't know how this will interfere with my work or even doing KZitem. But either way, it's going to be busy here for a few months! And it will be so nice to see my son again! Maybe even convince him to move to Alaska. He would be an Anchorage kind of kid though! 😉He does know that he will have to be in my video's though!

There are plants known to produce strong smells. Including the western skunk cabbage which is found in Alaska. Decomposing vegetation can also cause strong odors as well. A few trail cams places at key points can help answer some of your questions. Even the chimney chime might be answered with a trail cam. If all else fails just consider it paranormal activity's and go on about your day😁. Good to hear from you again stay safe!

Trail cameras will definitely be added to the "must buy" list this year! I was going to put a security camera on the chimney to watch for chimney fires so hopefully that will capture something. Although I have watched KZitem videos on "strange things" caught on security/trail cameras. Maybe I don't want to know! 🤣 I did read up on skunk cabbage! The Alaska DNR website had a few links about that. I had no idea! But luckily I do not have any on my property! But I wouldn't put it past that darn squirrel to plant a few! 🤨
