@@DerekThomasLirio in the show's world it's like 8 months since she took him to prom and then abandoned her on the dance floor to go after Lana. (not saying it wasn't heroic, just that's her perspective of events.) She's 16. I'd hold a grudge for a bit haha. The funny thing is Rosenbaum hates this, but says two correct things about it: Season 2 really IS all about setting up a villain arc for Chloe! And it's good when everything is connected. So...he would cut the Chloe drama?? Well I guess if you want her to be a much more arbitrary villain in season 3 with no build up, that's one way to go 😆😆It's not a coincidence that right when Dr. Walden, Lex, and Lionel are starting to really focus on figuring out what Clark has to do with everything, the Chloe triangle is coming to a head! The timing is actually really well done. I guess Rosenbaum may not be able to appreciate it if he doesn't remember season 3.

The question is why their kiss scenes were so intense though. doesn't anyone find it odd that of all the shows that were on back then, or heck even with the different romances on Smallville itself, that Tom and Kristin's kissing scenes were the most intense? And it's not just the fact they lasted longer like this one in Calling, there's also the episode Exodus where like Michael says they opened their mouth very wide. I really think these two were having an offset romance at the time but what do you think?

Chloe was dumb for actually telling or testing Clark to suggest they stay friends. She was hoping he would say no. But the moment he said he agrees, is when she regrets it. Her eyes go big. She told Pete it was a defense mechanism. But i think she wanted to test Clark. I believe if she never said that she and Clark would have been a couple. He admitted to having feelings for her when Pete told him (actually it was Ryan, kid how can read people’s mine, who told him in previous episodes). He would be comfortable telling her his secret. Or as we know Chloe she would have dragged it out of him😂. Anyways just like some one already mentioned it’s TV and the audience needs something to be kept busy with. Same on how Clark finally gets Lana with this episode but it all goes down the drain in the next episode. Now she’s the one all going simp for Clark and he’s ‘pushing her away’😅.

This was the first finale that I watched live, and let me tell you, me and my sisters loved it. We loved the angst, Lana and Clark finally getting together, Clark being Lex’s best man (seemed more cool and less odd back then), Chloe going a little dark, and Clark fighting his “destiny”. Again, I was 10-11 when this aired, my sisters in their teens. We were the target audience for the show and we adored it. Yes, there’s issues with the writing and plot, etc. at times, but I reiterate, this was a teen show. A lot of elements are targeted to touch on what teens might be going through and associate with. Just more of my thoughts. Smallville holds such a lot of nostalgia for me.

Y’all had me rewinding a couple parts, dying laughing about Chloe and then Michael’s making love anecdote.🤣🤣 Hahaha, thx for a great episode today with great energy! P.s. I couldn’t take any of the “hand blasting” scenes seriously either.😂 All I could think of was my favorite S2 blooper with Michael and John where Michael couldn’t keep it together and John hit him playfully with the paper he was holding. Lots of smiles today.😊 Hope everyone has a great week!☀️

I liked this episode and really was captivated with how it ended and then said To Be Continued again. But was very happy that there was 1 more episode before the end of the season. And I gave it 1 1/2 to 2 Roses. Wasn't sure which one it was, then and STILL can't decide. LOL. Great Post.

I love the scene when Martha asked Clark how was his "birthday party", the answer of Clark and the réaction of Martha. As a mother of 2 teens, I found this scene very accurate 😊 From France = please do not judge my english 😢

32:46omg i loved that scene where Lionel requests for the hand but he initially says something like bring it or send it to me and the coroner says, bring what? Lionel turns and says, “the hand of course”. hats off to John Glover man, he’s just great.
