I am an 85 year old male, ex Marine and retired USAF F4 and F111 pilot. I was always active but in recent years stopped doing pushups, though I did ride my exercise bike. Do a lot of hiking and walking. Following your plan, in 8 days I went from doing 0 pushups to 5. I stopped short of failure. Am sure I will do 10 in a few more sessions.

I'm 46 years old. 6 years ago I went from a 6'3 185 pound drug addict on my way to rehab to a 300 pound sober fat guy. I know I need to loose weight and get in better shape. Today I watched your video and decided to start with pushups using the counter to start with. After 5 sets of 10, I can really feel the burn and I plan on continuing. My biggest problem is snacking after dinner and I feel like I won't want to ruin my progress if I start working out after dinner. I quit smoking, drinking and drugs so after all that, it's time to "start" some new healthy habits.

I understand that you probably either have heroic intentions or have a very romantic idea about what joining the military is like, but please reconsider. War is all just kids killing other kids for the sake of some disagreement that a few old people have. You'll get told it's about human rights, or about glory, or that you're fighting against terrorists. The reality is the people you're fighting with are being told the exact same thing. To them, you're the terrorist. You're the person taking their rights. You're the person hurting their country and their family. Even if your goal is to join as a support worker, like an engineer or a technician, you're still helping cause unnecessary death

Hello, so I’m currently 14 y/o and I’m doing around 100 knee push-ups, I struggle at the end a lot, i do this each day in around 10 minutes. How quick do you think I will build up strength, and what can I do to even better it?

Keep practising, and start with at least a couple on your toes and before you know you will start getting stronger and increasing your reps.

if we are starting with baby steps like 3:13 then how many repetitions and sets should we target on daily basis and how should the pushups & sets needs to be increased. you mentioned 5 minutes , but one person might do 1 pushup in 5 mins while another might be able to do 5. so if I am able to do 3 sets of 5 pushups each would that be a good start ?

I'm at my heaviest I've ever been, 275 lbs and it's been years since I've worked out. I started at knee push ups last time then after a week or so I was able to do regular push ups but then I just stopped. I think I'm going to just skip straight to knee push ups again. Gonna try and lose some body fat and get in better shape.

I watched this some months ago. I started very easy, went to knee pushups and have slowly tried to do more and more reps over time on knees. I am at 3 x 12reps of knee pushups, but I still cant do one full proper push ups. Only thing I can think of is to maybe keep trying to add more reps on the knee pushups? Thanks for the video, really helps. I have been overweight most of my life and never known how to do a push up, so this helps.

Okie dokie. Today i have realised iv been doing push ups totally wrong. Turns out i actually cant do one. So this seems like the best way to ease into real push ups. Im going to give it a good go and i will drop a comment in about 2 weeks time with hopefully some idea of progression.

Wall push-ups I feel everywhere . You just step farther away from the wall to make it harder. Then when that’s too easy move on to a counter then high bed then bench then floor
