If you check out the link in the description you can download my blank keycap model, and if you're on a windows machine you can use 3D Builder (a free windows store app) to slice away sections you don't need to be left with just the stem. I'm also uploading a video within the next few days showing how to use 3D Builder to make keycap models and it'll generally go over how to slice existing 3D models.

Sure I used I think 20% support infill and used a support blocker for the ‘+’ shape that the switch fits into. Every time I go to reprint one I have to remember how to do that - so google “how to use support blockers in Cura” or whatever slicer you’re using and then you can place it on the plus section so you don’t have to worry about trying to pull out the supports in that tiny cut out

What's the best way to get the support out from the bottom of the keycap? Do you use a dremel?
@CASSDesigns
3 жыл бұрын
For the support that’s around the stem I just pull out with small pliers, if you’re getting support in the “+” shape in the stem look into adding support blockers in Cura or whatever slicer you use - it makes the software not place any supports in a specific area
