NGl it was really jaring, the difference in recordings. Likely due to the room you were recording in, or the quality of microphone you were using in the ladder half of the video. The boxyness of the recording could have been less noticeable with some EQ work. Side note: If you're looking to hire a video editor and someone who knows how to do EQ and audio work. Hmu, I'll give ya my discord, and we'll chat about it.

That was super hype. I don't think anybody else is doing MMBN challenge runs so I respect you for going for it. Especially now that the internet is buzzing with the advent of MegaMan MMBN legacy collection. I enjoy how informative you were and explained your strategies and challenges of said run. I'd love to see more mmbn challenges. I'd like to see your ideas if discussing game design bear fruit too. You don't want to become "that guy." KZitemrs who build an audience being the pokemon guy or challenge guy or anime guy will get tired of it. Monotony isn't fun. So I'd definitely recommend doing a few types of videos so you never grow tired of it. For a first video you put in some good work. Actual transitions that aren't crazy and no abrupt cuts. Sped up footage to respect the viewers time. Very good. Also jumping right into it is a great idea. People have the attention span of gophers. An intro longer than 3 seconds loses people. Insane ik. Thanks TikTok! Starting from round zero is a good decision. The thorough explanations are well done too. I had to say it a second time. Now, if I don't offer some criticisms you're not going to grow more powerful and reach your ultimate form. Tbh with only 1 video I can't really say much. I have to see more to see what your flow is. Only thing I can say is when you can afford it get a better mic. Your voice sounds muffled making it seem more monotone than it actually is. Are you doing any sound balancing or audio editing? Maybe that'll be enough? I'm no wiz and I'm one voice in 123. I see potential in you. It'll be a hard road. Understand that everyone who made it big got lucky. One video went viral or they came up with a unique and stand alone idea. They posted the right thing at the right time. Some never get a big boost and grow slowly. That's KZitem. Asking advice from popular KZitemrs is a good idea if you get the chance. Most importantly..... you only lose when you give up, fail to learn from mistakes, and don't continually work to improve. Rock on soldier. Rock on.

Thank you so much for the feedback and support. It's really encouraging, and the constructive criticism is absolutely necessary to grow! That's a fair point! Because I used recovery and support chips, defense was less of a concern. The philosophy was "the best defense is a good offense", since there would be fewer opportunities to hit me if I got rid of them faster. Few points of note since you were playing Operation Shooting Star: Star Force Mega Man actually has a shield to block attacks built in. There are several points where that could've been used and be useful for this run (unless it was stated that the built in shield is banned) Star Force's Buster may not have the Power behind it like the BN Buster, but it trades that for Auto Charge, and insane Radip Fire. At 5 Power, 5 Rapid, Star Force's Buster just erases most HP Bars. His low power doesn't help with Life Virus or Bass, but he is a large asset if used with his stats in mind.

Much appreciated on the feedback! You're absolutely right that there's a lot of utility with SF Mega that I didn't maximize. Great Video and I find it kinda interesting. I guess I'll try it myself with the upcomming legacy collection with the exception of Battle Network 1. As you mentioned in your video right because of the fleeing mechanic. I will definetly follow this series and take a look in your other videos, but before that I think you earned a subscribe absolutely. Which makes me kinda curious how you will take on Battle Network 4 if you go there for all secret bosses in their hardest form which have some requirements, but I don't know if you have played the games before so I don't write them to not spoiler you if you haven't until now. And which is even more curious is Battle Network 5 where I really don't now if buster only is possible in that games because of a mechanic. But I will wait and see the answers in your videos. Until then I start myself. I wish you much fun with the other battle network games. And if you someday go into Megaman Star Force I would recommend you for the first game to play the dx patch. 36:00 Its funny of you to ask if you are cheesing by spamming defensive chips against bass. You forgot to use the biggest anti-bass cheese available in the game: The pause button. You can, with certain reliance, dodge all of Bass attacks by spamming pause button, checking where to move megaman, unpause, and keep repeating ad infinitun.

I'm going to be redoing this run without any battle chips, so I may be taking advantage of that pause button spam depending on how badly it goes 😅

Cool video, the only suggestion i can make for future videos is to maybe work on the voiceover audio a bit because i swear it's louder on one side than the other

I don't know if this would be cheating or nor, nor do I know if MMBN1 has this but in the other BN games, you could abuse spamming the pause button so that you can slow down attacks. A cheap trick that trivializes the game a bit but also makes it much easier to dodge Bass' buster flurry attack.

That's a great point! All the challenge runs for the classic series take advantage of the pause glitch in MM1 (especially against the Yellow Devil!), so I think that would be fair game in this kind of challenge. I used support chips in this run, but in a "no battle chip" run, I think that I may actually need to use a trick like that to avoid his attacks.

I actually had to do this challenge. My Triggers were broken on my Nintendo so I could only choose chips at my first time and had to beat the enemy with my buster It was not really a fun experience but after 2-4 times I figured enough out to beat every enemy with just a buster

Heya! If you're planning on doing more Battle Network content in the future, I just have to let you know that "WWW" is pronounced as "World Three" as per the original intention. It's in the anime too btw hehe

Much appreciated - I wasn't sure if that was an anime-only translation, but I'll say that moving forward!

@@creationcorporation6267 It's mentioned in the manual of the first Battle Network. To this day I still don't understand at all how the Japanese writers concluded that "WWW" was a valid abbreviation, or why the English localizers decided to stick with it instead of either writing out "World Three" or changing it to "Wx3" or "W3" or something.

I mean. Yes. Technically. You do 5 per shot and likely 25 with mega buster. At max level. Edit: okay I might be a bit wrong, however. Sharkman comes from the floppy disk version of Megaman 3. That capcom did sign off on.

Can't wait for 5 The double soul system would add alot more charge attacks
I know you've already answered this and it'll be easier for me to think of this as "No Offensive Chips", but "Just the Mega Buster" and then immediately using Recov10's against GutsMan made me go "............but...but you just said just..." Oh well. BN1 is weird, and you've said you'll be doing the full "no chips" thing later, so I think we can let BN1 weirdness slide. Also, maybe this is a result of the kind of mic you're using, but it's got this weird muffled echo effect to it.

Sorry for the confusion - growing pains! I always imagined this challenge as no other attacking chips, but I understand the confusion. All challenges moving forward will be no battle chips at all, as far as it's possible! Thanks for the feedback on the vocals - hopefully this is better in the next video!

Really appreciate it! I'm actually really looking forward to seeing what we can do when the time comes - I'm planning on playing Double Team, so I'll get very familiar with everyone's charge shots haha. Hopefully we can find some creative ways to deal with the time limits!
