Candyman and Hellraiser were two movies that had fascinating and intricate depictions of evil that were driven into the ground by people who didn't get the *soul* of what made these characters good in the first place. Pinhead. I can see him using the chains as a fatality which rips the character to pieces. Or sending characters to the other dimension to be tortured. Yeah, Pinhead is probably the best choice for MK because of the brutal violence and the weapons plus MK deals with dimensions and he’s already a Inter-dimension traveler.

I would gladly say "Candyman" 5 times as long as I could be sure that it was Tony Todd coming to kill me. The man is absolutely entrancing. Anyone looking for another fantastic performance by Tony Todd ought to watch the episode Sleepless in the series The X-Files. It's one of the few episodes in the story that had little relevance to the overall mythology of the show, but still had me completely engaged.

Solid review. Glad Jahns liked it. - Candyman is one of the best horror movies of all times. The mix of the very realistic urban horror of the projects and the fantastic, gothic horror makes for one hell of a masterpiece in its genre. - Tony Tood's voice is captivating indeed. - Am I still the only one thinking Virginia Madsen looks like Gillian Anderson ? It's been bugging me for twenty years. - What Philip Glass did on Candyman was Ennio Morricone level. Most compelling horror movies soundtracks are compelling because they (cleverly) use unpleasant sounds, like Sinister's for example, but this one has melodies that are literally fucking scary. - When I saw the movie for the first time in the mid-90s, I was in junior high, me and my buddies dared each other to say Candyman's name five times. Not a single one of us did. It was pure silliness, and still. Same as Jahns. That says a LOT.
