Great job ! My health keeps me out of the woods for now, but I hope that changes one day soon. However I know I'm late to your party here for canteen cup Tuesday's etc. and I hope you are still out doing them. Just thought I'd let you know that your adventuresome spirit has got me to take some risks in the kitchen. Thanks.

Another great video,I've made a very similar dish. I like to carry a frozen quarter pound hamburger patty usually by the time I get to where I'm going it is usually thawed out. Just crumble it and do what you did of course I reduced the noodles to only half cup and used marinara sauce. Thanks again for sharing. 😊

Cool intro my Southern Brother.....I am planning this winter to dehydrate some meals here for this coming summer canoe trips etc, again I need gluten free stuff so will be interesting. -19c with windchill tonight here, been busy plowing snow most of the day. I could hear the beef sizzle almost as soon as you put it in. I am surprised at how well my alcohol stove works here in the North even in winter months below zero. Cold front huh........LOL....You want cheese on that????? I always use the grease or fat from the meats I cook to finish my other meals and more so in the hose kitchen. You have a great week Matt, cheers from your Northern Brother

If you’re cooking on a fire, put some coals on top of the cup lid to melt/toast the cheese. (or to bake in it)

Just wonder why you seem to prefer plastic forks and spoons ? Aside from weight in the pack, which is almost non existent , I'm not getting it ? I'm guessing you don't throw them away after your camp ? If you're stuck in a long term bug out situation they won't last. While I know everyone loves carving spoons, they're good for cooking, I suppose, but thick and cumbersome to try to dine with. In truth, though everyone of my ancestors from mom back used them a lot, I don't really like them. Outside of maybe stirring soup, everything is much more difficult with wood.

Just because of ease of use. Plus I get them at the Dollar store for $1 each for the set so if I lose them it is no big deal. I have 2 sets and reuse them as much as I can. They are surprisingly durable and I don't have the rust worry from metal ones....
