Great tips! I brush my hair with a detangle brush (NOT the wire brushes with balls on the ends of the bristles!) starting at the ends in sections. I also sleep on my back, with my hair up behind my neck, toward the head board, or in loose braids with no tie on the ends. I dry my hair with warm air or natural only. I use a large 100% silk scarf over my head to pull on clothes. I also use the Markus SeaMoss in smoothies and dressings. I've diluted the seamoss (1 tsp to 28 oz of mineral water) and used it as a leave in setting gel! I wash my hair 4 days apart. At night I bend over (back leg stretch) and massage my scalp with my fingertips for 5 minutes before bed, with a little high quality oil on my hands and work it in during the massage. I never have split ends. Love you Cara!

@@MarkusRothkranz We use both kinds and they are great! The new is really nice and much dryer and much cleaner. I stocked up on the Dec sale on the new sea moss since it keeps for so long. Thanks for the sale! I was wondering if you ever considered making some completely freeze-dried sea moss and then grinding it into an easily mixable powder or if the process would ruin its texture or nutritional value. In 2019, I cut my long, thick hair off (I had sat on it for years). I was 61 at that time. I did not have any split ends and I only cut it to shorten it. I never used heat on my hair-never! I washed it every 4 days and put coconut oil on the lower half of the hair the night before the washing. I kept my hair in a loose braid while I washed only the scalp. I let my hair dry before I combed it out with a very wide toothed comb. I kept it in a braid at night. During the day, I’d sometimes have my hair in a braid (with a scrunchy only at the bottom if I used one at all) or most often put up in a bun, all held together with pins or big bobby pins. I have never colored my hair.

I remember the 1st video you did with Markus (correction: cranberry oatmeal cookies, not apple ravioli), and I thought you were stunning then. But seeing your transformation over the years has been so inspiring to me. You can tell your hair has become so full and I think you're only improving as you age. My hair was a lot like yours until I had my son at 29, and then it thinned out and I haven't been able to get that hair back. I just turned 50, and I religiously take the collagen formulas by Markus. But a lot of the mistakes you pointed out are exactly what I've been doing. I see like an inch of growth in my roots, but no length! Now I know why!!! Thank you for sharing your routine!

Cara you are beautiful and your hair compliments your overall beauty. As a longtime hairdresser here is my viewpoint : your routine is working for you right now as you know our bodies go through changes and so does the hair. That said the ends only change from the nourishment of the inside body for it to show up in the ends as can imagine takes a bit of time. My biggest advice to improve your routine would be going shampoo free. The hair does not need the astringent treatment for cleansing unless one works in a grease pit or coal mine all day. Typically hair like our skin(largest organ) only needs water for cleanse. Finding a non coating cleansing conditioner or simply making your own will improve the hair strength even more. I my self haven’t used shampoo (nor soap on my skin), in decades. Final point I’d like to throw out there the oil on the ends of your hair only fills in the gaps of the hair shaft, it is somewhat strengthening the hair however it is not hydrating it. Hydration for the hair only comes from water, everything else is not hydrating only a surface remedy. Hope this is received with love as it is intended. I also want to mention what we put on us (skin,hair) ends up in our bloodstream so it is best to choose products made from edible sources. Much Aloha to all 🙏🌺🤙

Totally agree about the Non shampoo. Learned this from the former Ms America who had a Lion's Mane of hair. Sady she took her own life but on one of her YT videos before she passed, she stated that air drying your hair and shampoo were very harsh on the hair. I've been water rinsing my hair(research it) for about 6 months and my hair has really improved. As far as the ends, my ends are so curly that after the water washing I soak them in Aloe Vera and oils. I am AA woman with 4c hair.

@@SarahStephenDadson I will add that I also changed my lifestyle to a plant based one eliminated all processed sugars and store bought prepared foods. That said any change one makes take a bit to feel normal. There can be build up on your hair, the scalp could be clogged so give it time rinse with filtered water to get the best results. I occasionally use AV for a rinse it can also remove build up on hair, especially if hair is fine hard water can leave residue and have it feel limp and greasy. Another tip is not to use towels to dry, use a t-shirt instead. Less chance of hair tangling and or splitting. Best of luck.

Have you ever considered skipping the blow outs and letting your hair be wavy or curly? It looks very wavy and would probably be way less damaged with the curly girl method instead of blowing it out and fighting those natural waves. You're beautiful either way, i just think that constantly straightening wavy or curly hair damages the natural hair pattern. The less heat processing we do, the better, especially if you're already bleaching/coloring your hair. Try scrunching it and see how it responds. I'm a curly girl and haven't straightened my hair in years. I have a diffuser if i need to blow dry. My curl pattern is so much healthier and my hair has thanked me for letting it be curly instead of trying to make it straight constantly. I used to flat iron, blow out or even more recently i had bought the brush that is a flat iron and takes less time. I quit using all of those though and i have way less damage on my ends than ever in my whole life. Thanks for the tips of what works on your hair either way ❤

The cornea is made of collagen so it needs to be elastic and strong so it can move in the right way for focusing. I’d say it is also important to give your eyes time to adjust. Be patient and wait, so they get to use the muscles. The muscles will rebuild, but you have to exercise them. Assume that you will eventually see the thing you are looking for, don’t give up so fast. But be gentle, you can try again later. As well, make sure you are not always reading the same size fonts and from the same distance: use what is most comfortable for your general reading , but also exercise different distances and practice reading little fonts. Practice reading far distances in the same way, give your eyes time to see it. Also important to let your eyes rest by closing them, looking around at different distances and enjoying the scenery. And focusing on the blue sky as this is where these eyes get to focus on infinity. Make sure to always use the night setting on your phone that makes it yellowy Amd not blue as well. Good luck!

They can last for a very long time! If you don’t brush it out and just use your fingers to finger comb it slightly and use a bit of natural spray to hold it, it can look wonderful! I’ve had the robe in my hair for even an hour to two hours slightly dampening it after your hair is wrapped around the robe and it can be just the right amount of wave that lasts as well.

There are so many things that affect hair growth, like stress, meds, coffee, sugar, diabetes (snacking all day, too many carbs, bread, wheat, not going to sleep early enough),not enough sunlight or exercise, all of which affect hormones. Then there is nutrient absorption which is determined by stomach acid levels, salt, zinc, B and C vitamins. Bread, sugar, dairy and alkaline foods including calcium pills and alkaline water make this worse by lowering stomach acid, thus affecting amino acid breakdown and absorption- The list goes on, but these are all factors in hair growth. Yes, thank you. I've reduced using hair bands over the past few years. I have a couple of those claws. I use the soft scrunchies sometimes and on the bottom of a braid instead of plain elastic. I use a leave in, nontoxic conditioner and always brush through my hair before I wash it. It still tangles. I need to implement some of these things, like the satin case, etc. I know you see the color in my profile photo. It's nontoxic. I let it grow out the past couple of years. I haven't had a trim in at least 2 years. It's overdue for a basic trim. My question is, are you hiding split ends with the oil? Are you seeing a reduction in them before you add the oil? I'm going to make an oil blend for myself, too. Thank you. I have almond oil.

Do you ever think about going with more natural shades ? Bleaching is so hard on hair. It can leave a person looking harsh. A good healthy trim, and some age appropriate hair shades can really enhance a mature woman's complexion, and award her with a softness in her overall allure.

..I keep it trimmed as well, since I feel I look older if it gets too long. She looks good either way, but for myself I prefer it shaped

I also would appreciate more sea moss videos as I'm still not quite sure the best ways to consume it. Do you just rinse it & eat it or mix it w/certain foods or put it on topically.

I also heard about the ends being the part that break off, causing no noticeable growth from the Blowout Professor. Oh gosh you grow 3/4" to 1" per month! I need to start consuming the sea moss gel, kelp, Brewers Yeast, and be better at being a raw vegan; do that I can reach my super long hair dream.

I take 20,000 mcg biotin daily and my nails and hair have been growing. I stopped using hot rollers and let my hair go free and that has helped. I'm 71 so hair is very important at this age to keep, and to keep it looking good. I use a bonding agent. I use L'oreal bonding conditioner ...comparable to Oleplex which is $40.00 a bottle as opposed to $-9.00 for L'oreal. This bonds the hair and the split ends. This one is very reasonably in priced....most others are very expensive. Your hair is just beautiful. I don't use a salon either.

I was using Pureilogy for two years, because it helped with my scalp. Lately, I've liked Prose. My scalp health should be coming from my gut and liver anyway. Also, I love hennasooq. Their products make my hair stronger with a protective layer. As they can dry the hair, I always incorperate aloe in the mix and make sure I do a full hair coconut /castor oil treatment that sits on my hair for at least 3 hours before washing. I do each (henna and oil) once a month, spaced at least two weeks apart. Your tip to oil the ends of thr hair is spot on!

Do you eat the sea moss by itself or mixed with other food? Do you just mix it up with spring water and store it in the fridge? How long does the package last? Thanks 💕
@MarkusRothkranz
10 ай бұрын
The package can last a decade if sealed from humidity. Don't use the whole bag at once, just a little bit makes enough gel for a week or two. You can eat it straight (yuk) or mix it in a smoothie or make cheese with it kzitem.info/news/bejne/24RuxaFqqWpmp4I or also kzitem.info/news/bejne/k3ip0Ydjm5xlnaw or cheesecake kzitem.info/news/bejne/ypuMxWSCm5plo5w or a desert parfait kzitem.info/news/bejne/jnmf16CkgZhhdqw all of which we have recipe videos for on this channel kzitem.info/door/PLwO5V2VPA71qD0dZavl91ZXtFhJh-YwRP

Love this, thank you for sharing. I don’t know why Cara but I was honesty expecting you to say you braid your hair. So my question is do you ever braid your hair to put it up or back. Thx🫶🏽😍👏🏽🤩💞💞
@MarkusRothkranz
10 ай бұрын
She braids it sometimes but never to put it up or back, that would be double strain and stress on the hair. To put it up, she just twists it a bit and coils it up into a ball and clips it like in the video.

The same what happened to your hair with this hairfork, happened to me with the claw clips. Breakage in the middle back of my head😢 now I don't use any hard accessories in my hair anymore, only soft scrunchies or hairties. But the most important thing is: how you brush your hair and how often and with which hairbrush or comb. I only brush my hair every other day, with a wide tooth comb, its the most gentle. And brushing very slowly and carefully

Cara can we eat to much sea moss in a day ? Is it ok to put sea moss on our face? And rub it in our hair? Love your hair care routine.. I rinse my hair with Raw apple cider vinegar mix with water.. home made rosemary herb. I grow my own. I put essential oils.on my hair rub on the scalp peppermint rosemary oils

Two tablespoons a day is recommended, or make cheese or cheesecake with it like we do. Yes you can make a mask with it by mixing it with the herbal vitamin C and putting on face for 15min , but don't move around much because dry chunks can flake off
