Yes, I squish my sharp die edges that happen when I make them with the scan n cut, works a treat. I reverse my images too. I also stack my dies 4 or 5 deep, squish them in the die cutter and then hot foil right on top of them, no hot foil plate needed.

Love the "cut on an angle" stamp surgery tip! I have done stamp surgery because I often like my sentiments stacked but I'll be using this tip in the future. I use Tim Holtz's remnant rub tool instead of a pokey tool. It accomplishes the same tasks but there's absolutely NO danger of poking holes in anything. (Thank you, Tim!) And, of course, I love how your cards turned out.

Great video, and your birds are amazing! Regarding a non pokey tool…I recommend The Scotty Peeler! I have several in different spots in my craft room, and would be lost without them. This tool works perfectly to peel up a piece of cardstock from your sticky mat. It’s rounded, but perfectly flat on the bottom. Helps dislodge stubborn pieces from dies without tearing. Am I allowed to tell you where I purchase mine? They are less expensive than you’d think!

You are so talented, I could watch you for hours!! Thank you for sharing your talent. I love those birds, so, so cute! Is that a gel plate you are using to keep small die cuts in place, or a sticky mat? I haven't yet purchased a sticky mat and wondered if my gel plate might work too.
@ardyth
11 ай бұрын
I have a gel plate and a few of the sticky mats. I have used the sticky mat as a gel plate and I've tried to use the gel plate as a sticky mat. They are not the same and they are not totally interchangeable, both do their job better than the other, but they both do the other job pretty well. Definitely give it a try with the gel plate. Wow, that was a long way of getting there! lol! Thanks for your kind words and for watching!
