Another moving passage from the Red Book. In this excerpt, Jung highlights the reality of hell as the byproduct of a conscious declaration of war on the depths. According to Jung, due to this declaration of war, the depths became death. How does one win a war against death?
Heaven and Hell are two sides of the same coin. Just like Gods and Devils, good and evil, darkness and light. They are modes of polarity within an infinite spectrum of nothing and everything. Could life and death follow this same motif? What if life is simply a crest - death a trough?
