I remember when the Fantasy and Ecstasy were brand new ships (1991-1992 ish). I think I still have a travel brochure with the two sister ships on the front cover. So sad to see them go. I am surprised a lesser cruise line didn't buy them up as following the pandemic there might be a market for smaller and more intimate ships.

I remember when this ship was docked in Charleston and taking a photo of it from patriot’s point. RIP Carnival Fantasy

The cheapest scraping of ships in the world is done on the beach in Bangladesh. There it is done mostly by hand and with brute force.

I'd like to see inside the ship as it is being scrapped. What items are removed to be sold and what is cut up and scrapped.

The running costs of a older ship is unbearable, hence the reason to scrap. It makes perfect sense to scrap. This ship made all the profit that it's owners required it to make.
