Another great vid! I use to grow alot of dipper gourds every year myself. There is a way to dry them out quicker. Take long to explain. But growing them. I would seed them RIGHT NEXT to the compost pile. They climbed on a fencing. They would get HUGE next to it. Was a good winter project to putz with. About February. I start cleaning them out. I made MANY birdhouses too out of them. The swallows loved them. i would also make bowls out of them. And wood burn them as well with designs and Indian patterns. They wood burn great. I would use oil art crayons and buff in color on them too. I would coat them in two coats of SPAR VARNISH, because it is so durable if they are out in the weather. Let dry and go hang them. You should look into growing bushel gourds. Probably do great in your climate! They can be HUGE. Be good for toteing veggies and whatever. Make some cool things out of those! Have a great week Ron 👍

Fantastic sponsor there Ron! 🤣 I was cheering for you with that rooster! I thought I saw somewhere that if you hold the rooster down to the ground for a bit that it will stop attacking? Or just keep him around for a sparing partner😜 You were like a little kid cutting up the gourds! Yeah sometimes you just have to take a day “off”😉

As a side note, I meant to say to use your rocket stove to prepare your meal and than put it in the haybox. We slightly browned some beef cubes, onions and carrots and put it in the haybox for about 4 hours and it was piping hot and cooked to perfection. No electric, gas or charcoal. Like a crockpot.

Great video as always Ron! Beautiful rocking chair. Is there a story to go with it? I love the old school bushcrafting ways. There's an inner peace I've found learning survival skills from others. With so much fear mongering and uncertainty in the world, I sleep better practicing those skill regularly. 👍 Now I'm going to go back and watch you and that rooster! Oh my gosh you are a hoot! 🤣

Good Sunday morning, another good video…. I have a mean little rooster also but I think we have come to an understanding now 😅, very cool thing with the gourds! Spring is soon here and deciding what I want to plant 🪴 or if anything this year. I have been thinking about getting a teardrop camper and just getting out and exploring this spring and summer. Still no pup? Well it was nice to see you and will stop back soon. Well wishes from Pennsylvania 😊

I have been told that the way to establish dominance with an aggressive rooster is to pick him up and carry him around for awhile. Also, don't let them eat before the hens or mount hens in your presence. Might be worth a try..

Have you started monetizing your videos? It’s not that I care, the reason I ask is that the last few videos have had ads and I remember you saying that you don’t monetize videos so it struck me that if that is still the case then KZitem is taking advantage and still posting ads regardless of whether the video is monetized or not. But it only one ad at the beginning with the ability to skip so I’m not whining, just curious about the KZitem gods and their decisions. I really liked the gourds because I grew them as a kid and enjoyed making bird houses out of them.

I payed someone who already had a pig farm to raise one for me. I payed 115$ and they raised it there. When it was ready I had it processed for 325$ Then I split that with two other friends. I think I will do that every other year. 👍
