I just did this, it got down to -16 degrees, and had so much water it froze up the channel, had to take a heat gun and melt it out

hello everyone, i have a problem with my case 1845c, could anyone advise me? When I lift the whole loader arm with a spoon, empty or full, it doesn't matter, it lifts up well, but down it goes very very slowly. It always jumps a little up when starting. The spoon can be opened and closed well. When I turn off the engine the loader arm goes down well. If I go down and at the same time open and close the spoon it goes a little lower it faster. Even if the loader arm does not move, the hydraulics sound as if they are hissing, as if the hydraulics are working. At the same time, the right side of the wheel control does not work properly. Please advise what the problem is. The hydraulic fluid is full. Thanks for the reply

There is a lot going on there. I'm not an expert at all but to me it sounds like a valve isnt opening all the way when you lower the arms. Maybe flush the hydraulic system and put a new hydraulic oil filter on? Hopefully someone else will chime in.

Sorry to be off topic but does anyone know a method to log back into an instagram account? I somehow forgot my password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me!

I just bought a case 85xt, I have the same gunk in my chaincase. how the heck do I clean that mess out? Do I have to pull the wheels and hubs? Thanks

I dont think you'll need to pull the hubs. Kerosene works well but it does leave residue and can break down the new oil. You might have to drain the new oil sooner than scheduled to get the kerosene and rust out.

Drain and refill with half n half diesel fuel and oil for a little light workings.

Is this the same process for a Case 1840 skid steer?

I'm pretty sure. The plug might be different.

I’m surprised at how mechanics don’t bother to clean machines when doing maintenance. A small amount of dirt can do catastrophic damage. Pretty small expense considering. Maybe that kind of work is beneath them.

I agree. A good pressure washer is an excellent investment. Thanks for watching.

Yearly service on mine starts with dropping the belly pans, then most of a day loving on the pressure washer!! Then about a day of servicing and flushing....and greasing before the pans go back on... And of course, checking the park locks!!

If only the "operators" would clean their equipment. Perhaps then they would not have frozen tracks, destroyed final drives, etc etc.

C. McGhee That’s what case spec said, but it seems kinda low. Thanks for the reply 👍🏻

I'd fill it up with diesel fuel and run each side at a time off the ground no weight.
