The little inner pocket in the right hand rear is for a mini pump as it stops it from moving around. The jacket is awesome and I have 4 in different colours.

thanks Mike. Have you ever tried their Jersey version of this jacket - essentially a short sleeve version? Thought it would be a little better wind protection that a vest, but not as hot as a jacket in medium temps ( 48-65 F )

Hi. Yes I know what you’re referring to. That’s the “gabba” as they call it. I have not tried it myself. I think it’s a little less versatile. I think I would personally rather wear a base layer, jersey and vest rather than the gabba. Vests are so lightweight that they can easily be removed and stored in a jersey pocket and with those layers on, you basically achieve the same warmth with more versatility. Don’t underestimate arm warmers either.

How does it breathe under strong sustained efforts? I own many jacket that are supposed to be breathable and I always end up all wet even at -10C in Canada.

To me it’s been amazing and breathes really well. The vents on the sides really works.

Cycling jackets are a scam. Get a LS jersey and a gilet for half the price.

I completely disagree with you. I live in a climate where I cycle often in temperatures below 8 degrees and a long sleeve jersey and gilet are not enough.

@@AllThingsSportsMikeMcIntyre I can go as far as 0 degrees in winter and I still get sweaty af after 10 minutes of slow riding. I own a jacket with goretex infinium, same as castelli, top of the charts base layer, nothing changes.

Can I wear regular clothes under it like a cotton t shirt? Planning on getting a jacket to keep me warm enough while commuting but not too hot so that I sweat a lot. I would prefer if I didn't need to buy additional cycling specific under layers like a jersey.

I would avoid cotton because it will just absorb any dampness created underneath the jacket. It keeps you warm and breathes extremely well. But not matter how good a jacket it is, wearing cotton underneath is likely a bad choice

Hi, what's your height and weight? I've used the calculator from the castelli website containing height, weight, build and age and it suggested size is L (both for Perfectto Ros nad Ros 2) but i I'm afraid it will be too small for 181 cm and 79 weight.

Yeah you’re both taller and heavier than I am. I am about 169cm and 73 kg.
