we believe in the "Don't Ask-Don't Tell" auction motto......don't ask if you can run something, don't tell if you do......haha

The D7E was used with a Romeplow in Vietnam to clear jungle . This one was probably sold as surplus .This one had "glow plugs" to help start in cold weather .The operator should of turned the start switch counterclockwise to glow plug the engine even while the engine was running on 2 or 3 cylinders .

Actually, these late model D&E's with direct electric starting performed very well up here in Canada in winter time. This engine would have run much better and fired on 4 cylinders much sooner if the operator had moved the "Heat Start" switch back to the "heat" position once the engine started to run on it's own. In really cold weather, an engine heater, either electric or propane made starting easy. like summer time. I worked with lots of these in the 70's

@caseman2294 Wrong. Early D7s up to (at least) the D7E were 4 cylinder. Not sure about the D7F, but the D7G went to 6 cyl.

Idk about this one, but most of these old machines that look nice have a "dupont" overhaul...but I always find it funny, they can have a gazillion hours on them and beat to hell, but they just keep on going. these old cats arelike energizer bunnys

This military D7E, like its 500 or so brothers are low hour machines. Except for those used in Vietnam they spent most of their lives sitting in US Army motor pools or depots.
