The Cathedral Ranges are a small mountain range located in northeast Victoria. The range is a jagged and narrow ridgeline that stretches north-to-south, with Sugarloaf Peak at the southern end, and The Cathedral at the northern end.
Sugarloaf Peak is a popular climbing destination due to it's large near vertical rock faces - a walking track also makes it's way up these faces that goes by the name of Wells Cave Track. The trail is short but very action packed, you have to take on low grade rock climbs and scramble through a 30m long narrow passage (the cave).
It has to be one of the most exciting walking tracks in Victoria, and with such easy access it isn't one to be missed (so long as you are comfortable with climbing and high exposure).
