Not all Dominicans have African roots. Some have European roots, others have indigenous Indian roots.

Im so proud of her knowing who she is. Im Half American and Hispanic with Asian and Native American roots. My mom was from America 🇺🇸 Full Black Woman and My Father was From Cuba 🇨🇺 Mixed Afro Latin . And i love my roots 😌 it can be confusing sometimes because people want you to identify as who they want you to be, but I will always identify as what i truly am ❤🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇨🇺🇨🇺🇨🇺🇨🇺🇨🇺🇨🇺🇨🇺🇨🇺🇨🇺🇨🇺😝🔥

Rizzoli Careyoli "you can't win with black people!" Must run into alot of people who are colorist and uneducated in what race means! I would think it's the non minorities who doesn't understand, especially knowing American history alone...I'm black and American btw and I have to constantly teach people about race and nationality! This African descended woman from the Latin nation of The DR is a beautiful representation of Afro Latina and did a great job of explaining the term👍👍👍

She is beautiful :). I am a black Brazilian (lighter skinned) who grew up in the US. I don't understand the black/Latino identity crisis that many Latinos have. In Brazil, most black Brazilians proudly identify as such. I find it odd that blacks in the Spanish speaking countries like the Dominican Republic somehow try to deny the obvious. Kinda weird.

Who know that they are the descendants of strong stolen people who were taken from their land and brought to DR by the Spaniards to work the sugar cane fields. Someone who knows the difference between Ethnicity and Race. Someone who knows the difference between National Identity and Race. Someone who has learned their history and did not allow propaganda or white washing to stop them from embracing and learning the truth. That is a WOKE Dominican and I Iove Massy Arias and my Fiancé for being one of them!

@@ricdaphree7759 ... I don't think she meant to be insulting. My best friend is PR & he has not mastered the English language, and has been here since the age of 14... he is 50 years old! Maybe she encountered people like my friend. I have asked him why his English isn't better and he says, "watch it!!!!" ok... never answered the question... and... he has the nerve to get insulted when people don't understand him! LOL! PS: ... he actually feels more comfortable speaking in Spanish.

Technically, the word Hispanic is a term the census created for only Mexicans in the 1950. Latin has evolved to encompasses all Spanish speakers however, Spanish, Latin, Hispanic... is not a race.

Beautiful women i first seen her on the Doc show. Glad she knows her roots and her excersises inspire me to get up and go ! She has a beautiful family. I do have Dominican friends and they identify as black, afro latino. Massy wall excersises saved me from upper arm pain and lower back musle pain ect. She is the goat of fitness.

As cool as it was to hear her proudly admit to and identify herself with being a black ("brown" technically) woman and even low-key call out the hypocrisy of dark-skinned dominican women (and the majority of latin people in general) denying where their skin color truly originates from, she should definitely do more to cater to black ("brown") people as much as she does to latin people. Every piece of beneficial and helpful info and advice should be offered to black ("brown") people the same as it is to latin people.
