Welcome back to the Ceres Control Room where we talk about the more technical aspects of our greenhouses. In this episode, we talk about how high-pressure fogging is an effective way to add humidity and cool a vented greenhouse in Omaha, Nebraska.

All right so we are currently in Greenhouse number two this is 30ft by 147 ft east to west 4,400 ft Greenhouse this is about as big of a greenhouse as we do especially vented we used fogging because it allows us to get a more consistent temperature throughout the greenhouse as opposed to an evaporative cooling wall on one end of the greenhouse. So the fogging just turned off as you saw and we have a fogging line that runs the full length of the greenhouse east to west and we can control it based on temperature because we use it for cooling we can also use it for humidity control we can add humidity to this greenhouse if and when it needs it okay so the fogging system has just turned on you can see it's high pressure fog so it's actually a stainless steel line stainless steel fittings and the idea is that the size of the molecule is so small that it never really becomes wet in the greenhouse but it's only adding humidity we also use our airflow fans to help move this around so this is the evaporative cooling system for this greenhouse so the fog is introduced air intakes comes in from the vent over here and then it is exhausted out the fans on the this is actually on the west side of the greenhouse this greenhouse has east to west
