Yesterday I watched a video and it said that now in China, ppl cannot make videos that include interviews unless you got some kind of journalists license. Is it true ?

Hello, I am not from chaozhou, and as my name says I am a manchu. But it's not a problem of usefulness or not. From a linguistic point of view, chaozhou is very close to ancient classical chinese, whereas cantonese is close to early 500AD medieval chinese at the crossroads of Han/Tang. Whereas Mandarin is heavily influenced/enforced by mongolian and our manchu language, and is the least chinese of all sino-tibetan languages. So, I think it's important to save your heritage especially with the government dictating you to speak the manchu/mongolian version of chinese.
SAM CHHOUR
