Almost looks like the second LACoFD Engine 51 of TV's Emergency!, during its last 89 episodes. 🚒

I have TWO Detroit Diesel one is the 8V-71 The other is a 353. The big one is in my Restoration Engine. 1971 SeaGrave. My wife had the stacks put up. So smoke is not blowing on the curb, if we do parades. It's a 5 speed. YES love her Noise.😊😊😊

Still some of the best looking trucks of all time. Admittedly, I'm biased. My dad worked for WLF until 1977. As a kid growing up, it was not at all unusual to see one parked in front of my house. Thanks for posting.

Because of Emergency, and the Los Angeles County Fire Department converting from Crown gas powered fire trucks to diesel, sales of the Ward LaFrance Ambassador series jumped.

YES another Restoration guy that I know. Has an International carry all with chefs top body. It was an ambulance, he has one on the roof. It's NEAT when turned ON. Because if you stand facing her. One beam dwells, the other Flashes at you. Very interesting design for a beacon 🚨🚨😊

If these are Chicago (IL) fire trucks, how come their cab roofs are not black? Chicago fire engines roofs or hoods over the motor are traditionally painted black to absorb the heat from long periods of engine idling.
