Very nice. I watched your series on building the violin for Leo, and while I'm not subscribed, this came up in my videos and believe me, I'm happy to watch what you're doing on this, and I look forward to hearing what the banjo will sound like when it's finished. Nice job so far.

Thanks so much! I love the details of a project but I also get so sucked in I have to be careful, Its that ADHD hyper focus. It can be a tool or a downfall.

Why did you not start with hex bar stock to make all the nuts?
@JDanielGraham

For the size I had available basically. I had some hex bar but it was too big. I thought this would be fun to walk through as well. I like the shape they came out. They are squared with round edges basically.

Drill the ceramic... reducing a thread reduces its strength. I'm beginning to think that you have no idea what you're doing!

I was nervous about compromising the ceramic flange. After the reduction of the threads it is still a little larger than standard banjo hooks. They are holding fine, it has enough hooks to spread the load just fine.

When was the last time you made a banjo?

I wrapped up one in march or something. Then it was violin making all summer.@@dermotbalaam5358
